  • thanx!! i was playing smash bros today and i did that on accident in the middle of battle and it helped me out but i never done it before and i didnt no how i did it? and then sure enough i get on the computer and u have an entire explaination of how it works! thanx ur awesome!:)

  • whenever i try to do the up-smash way, i always end up doing up - aerial. help?

  • Thank you so much this helps a lot when I'm Sonic! :) I used to wonder what the heck it was.. I thought it was a certain glitch but now I realize how effective it is. :D I'm definitely doing this when pwning taunter parties' asses! >:D

  • i used to do this all the time without knowing it was a tech of any kind o.o thot i was just doing the spin dash wrong or sumthn xDD?

  • GREAT TECHNIQUE! Sonic just got a whole lot more "way past cool"!

  • thanks aot i only knew how to do it on the spot

  • i wanna c u use it with a wii classic controller please.. but put the control settin like a gc controller.. please

  • How can you spin shot with the gamecube controller? I've tried a TON of different moves and I can't do it.

  • @cobanermani456 For Spin Charge Spin Shot - Jump in the air, Use Spin Charge (Keep Charging), while charging hit either Up Smash or Side Smash.

For Spin Dash Spin Shot - Charge up the Spin Dash to 50% Charged, when you release B, IMMEDIATELY hit A. You MUST time the A button right when Sonic launches out of Spin Dash. Try sliding your thumb from 'B' to 'A'.

  • @KyutwoVideos Thanks!

  • How'd you do the reverse homing attack?

  • @MacDaddyRiggles In Mid-Air, tap the Joystick in the opposite direction first (make sure you're not holding it down) and THEN hit 'B'. It works for any character.

    Mid-Air --- Opposite direction --- release --- THEN hit B.

    Jump, Tap <-- , B

  • @KyutwoVideos Thanks dude, I appreciate it.

  • Thanks for the tutorial! subscribed!

  • I wonder if this tactic will come in handy in real brawls when you just can't simply time it right sometimes, especially on Wi-Fi.

I don't think this tactic would help much though while you could have an extra jump when you're launched AND use one of the most reliable Up-B's in the game.

  • Which is one of the main reasons why I use Wii Mote Nunchuk, since you can execute the move right almost every time. Also, learning this move will benefit Sonic users if the Spring Recovery gets too predictable. Since Sonic can't use his other special moves after Spring, Brawlers can retaliate as soon as Sonic lands.

Take a look at my Brawls and you can see Spinshot used effectively during Brawls.

  • And this is a reason why I subscribed to you. I don't think I'll master the technique though, I'm a GC user :|

  • Ah. Okay. Thanks for subscribing, though. :)

  • DUUUDE!! I been looking all over for a video explaining the spin shot uses XD

    I'm so happy I could cry ;D

    THANKS A LOT KyuTwo

  • Finally, somebody out there made a good visual tutorial on Spinshot. Many thanks.

And this is just me, but for ASCSS (Aerial Spin-Charge Spinshot), I find much success hitting the side of the C-Stick.

I also remember when I used to play with Single Wii-mote, Spinshotting with SpinDash was as easy as sliding my thumb from the 1 button to the 2 button.

  • Ya know, aside from watching this video, I've learned quite a few tricks with Sonic, watching your videos, that I use on my friends. And no way, I just watched this all the way through for the first time, and I had no idea you could do something liek that under Final Destination O_o, that's awesome ^_^; EPIC WIN.

  • Sweet! This should be an official tutorial! Why dont we see this sort of thing from Nintendo or SEGA?

  • I don't think Nintendo, the makes of Brawl, intended on this kind of glitch/AT/physics/abuse/whatever you want to call it.

Which is why 95% of this kind of guides are not seen too often, not to mention that only a select few even give full detail.

  • These moves are epic, Q.

You are truly a formidable opponent on the field...

  • Thanks its easier for me to train in the speed 1.5 I dont know why but I could do it better faster

  • I know how that goes. Playing Capcom vs. SNK 2 on GC requires fast input, which was easy for me, but on PS2 my input needed to be slower which I couldn't get used to.

For Brawl, Input speed does change when the in-game speed changes. Just not sure if it improves or worsens.

  • fyi, ASC into spin shot can be done simply by taping forward on teh C-stick during the charge.

  • thanks for showing us this

  • Hey I know that move yo udo your side B and hold the button down and instead of letting go and then you press A or something, and it does that. I could be wrong but I've done that several times before.

  • Yeah, true. There's a lot more to Spin Shot that I wanted to explain so I hope this video explains it all.

  • It's a pretty useful video, as I can't do it in the air to save my life. . . .

  • Ty for the info

    Sonic pwns

  • You did a good job on the explanasions. Now I know how to do it right cause I've been trying to do this on my own.
