@trivediu Unfortunately I can't read notes, but I 'll do my best to work it out with help of my friend-pianist. I have watched your jamming with wine&roses, I swear its purely fantastic!!!hich style/school is this???
Wow. That is one of the most awesome things I've seen on Youtube. I hope you play yourself. I assume you read through a transcription and memorized it more or less. Wow Wow love the choice too. Bill Evans and Toots Thielmans have a great version on Evans last album.
Yeah, those fast parts are tough. I started transcribing this solo but didn't finish it just because I got busy; I need to pick it up again. I was surprised how tough it is to learn those fast parts. You figure out what all the notes are but then it's too fast and the notes get garbled. I'm not sure how they do it, maybe the way they hold their pick or I don't know.
Best of luck, what matters if our love for the guitar and making music. You'd be suprised, but after making this video I realized how inefficient my picking method is - notice how I move my entire right hand to pick...I've been working on changing this to more of a wrist motion which is hopefully evident in some of my other vids.
Right on! That is freaking impressive. Jazz is a language like any other. How did you learn to speak? By copying what you were hearing. What this guy is doing is learning. It doesn't mean every time he plays this tune all he is going to do is play this solo over and over again. It is an exercise in learning. I have never met a good jazz musician that hasn't done transcriptions, not one. Your a hell of a player. keep it up!
I understand dcboogie's comments and respect that viewpoint, but I think we all take different paths to the same destination. Emily Remler once said she felt a fraud playing in the style of Wes Montgomery until she found her own (voice) style.
Learn anything anyway then move on and one day in a solo you will remember a snippet of these transcriptions but in your interpretation.

I've noticed that the bite drops off when you raise the strings a bit more off the pickups.
Now, after playing around for 30 years and having carpal tunnel surgery, I'm going to try learning how to use a pick.
God help me.

I think you missing the point.
jazz is all about improvisation.
And you picked one of my favorites so I had to react.I didn't want to offend you, but just put you on the right track.
And you keep on playing because if you can copy Pat, you surely can be a promise for the future.
Greetings
