@bjone56 I live right by Maurepas. My uncle was attacked by a gator while spearfishing there. Lucky for him he only had some stitches. I'm still trying to get him to bring me spearfishing!

I was fishing rigolettes between lake borgne, and Ponchatrain in early May. I saw one of the largest alligators i've ever seen. Right where we were catching bull sharks under the bridge.

this is in lake cataouache and you have to watch out for gators yourself ,frequency depends on how close to shore you are,when your close check after every dive
