Vinny had a damn good career considering he was color-blind and the horrible start his career got off to down in Tampa Bay, the lowlight being the season in which he threw 35 INTs. THe fact he was able to rebound from that and end his career having thrown more TDs than INTs (albeit by a small margin) is a testament to his talent
vinny testaverde is a fuckin girl. In other languages testaverde is universal word for bi-curious. In fact if you like him your a little bi-curious yourselves...Queers
Wow a real homophobe... i thought the only existed in Junior High but it looks like we found one. If you have nothing better to do is look up people you don't like and bash them in the comments you have a sad life...
@ihatehambone I wasn't sure whether or not i should even reply to this atrocious comment because it doesn't deserve one, but HOLY SHIT you are a fuckin clown...only way to describe you...you obviously know absolutely nothing about football...and everything you said was completely wrong..and unrelated to football i might add....EPIC FAIL dickhead
What game was he playing when he head bunted the wall in the in-zone? He had to be carried off the field in a strecher. I think he was with the Jet's when that happened. What an idiot!
idk, considering he was the number 1 overall draft pick and all the awards he won at college level; he never went on to win a superbowl or make the HOF
compared to a guy like Warren Moon, how was undrafted and went on to be HOF and one of the all time greats
considering the expectations as a number one draft pick, perhaps he was a bit overrated initially
He's one of my favorite athletes of all time. He's the reason I still root for the Hurricanes. To this day, it still hurts when I think of that Bowl game vs. Penn State.
Vinny was truly great, with a god-given arm. However, having been the first pick in the draft, he had the misfortune of joining a horrific team. Its a miracle he survived and went on to have such a great career. While not a hall of famer, he is still one of the best quarterbacks of the era. Think its a coincidence that Parcells and Belichick both wanted Vinny wherever they went?
One of the nicest guys that I ever met! The day he left the Jets in 2003, I have not followed them since. Including his comeback year with the Jets in 2005. GO CARDINALS!!!
The experts thought that Vinnie was going to be a great QB coming out of college (Miami), but he ended up being an average player who jumped around to different teams. They used to say that he didn't have enough heart to win. His best years were with the Jets.
By far one of the most underated qb's of all time. Nobody threw a better spiral then you Vinny. My fav highlight is when you were on the browns and defeated the pats in the 94 playoffs. That was great year for us browns fans!
by far my favorite player of all time... Its a shame that he was stuck on such crap teams his whole carrer. He finally got on a good team in 98 and went to the AFC championship game ( He lost to John Elway witch is nothing to be ashamed of). Then in 99 when the Jets would have won a super bowl he tore his Achilles and was done. An excellent player and an all around good guy.
this guy sucked in the beginning of his career cause in his second year he threw 13 touchdown and 35 interceptions in 1 year!!but once he bcame a veteran in the league he started being a really good QB!!!
The one good thing that Vinny can take from his career is that he was able to walk away from it with a clear conscience and a still-intact Body(lol) with ZERO CONCUSSIONS(See Young, etc.).
It's a credit to his training, desire, and overall Greatness(as a person) that enabled him to overcome so much negativity throughout his career.
Thank You, Vinny. Thank You for being You and showing every QB what it means to be CLASSY.
He was good some years and he was bad some years. He had all the physical tools and was very capable of making big plays. He was overall pretty good but he would not make the all time ten best quarterbacks list.
hey he is a great role model maybe the greatest and thats what its all about for our kids ive liked him since miami and they quoted then about the only thing he does wrong was eat too many choc chip cookies come on people he is alegend in his own right
Wont be listed as greatest of all times, but as a huge JETS fan I thank him so much for the greatest season(1998) I have ever seen my boys play! Only 20 minutes from making the SB that year(led 10-0 into 3rd quarter against DEN in ACF Championship). He threw 29 TDs with only 7 INTs in 11 reg season games. What a great one he was that year.
I go to school with his nephew :D

1. John Elway
2. Vinny Testaverde
3. Dan Marino
4. Jim Kelly
5. Joe Montana

No. Vinny never won a Super Bowl. Which is a surprise with the long and illustrious career he had.
Also, another that never won a Super Bowl was Jim Kelly. He led the Bills to 4 straight Super Bowls, and didn't win any of them.
Long Live Vinny!
