Start playing Gears competitively :). Sounds crazy, but its honestly such a fun, unique, and great experience and you do have a lot of potential. I think it'd be something you'd really enjoy - every man needs competition of some form in his life and nothing compares with how competitive/fun professional GoW is.

I think you should stick with the commentaries but you should start making consistent montages again like you did on GoW 1. Seeing that you haven't made one in a while you will fall in love with it again. I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to creativeness. I love thinking outside the box and trying new things.
