  • We would need to do a evaluation on you to find out what your options are.

  • I can watch any surgery, hands mangled in meat grinders etc.. This? I have turned inside out. I can't even handle a eyelash in my eye!!!

  • -.-

  • holy shit holy shit holy shit fuck holy shit holy shit what the fuck shit holy fuck shit shit holy shit motherfucker shit fuck shit shit holy fuck holy shit fuck

  • Dr. Jose Rizal removed his mother's cataract without this stuff way back 1887. And it was just done in his house.

  • How does poking this guys eyeball with sharp metal objects not make him blind? I seriously do not understand.

  • @Controverse23 These are very miniscule incisions and the surgeon is sure to make sure nothing is damaged. Damaging something such as the cornea would definitely impair the person's vision, but everything will heal and be the way it's supposed to be.

  • Usually it is possible.

  • @edwademd do they put you too sleep for this surgery?

  • @edwademd Do they put you too sleep for this surgery?

  • @anakin4156 not generally

  • I'm 19 and am having cataract surgery in a couple hours. This video made me feel a little better, although I'm still a little worried. Hope it goes well.

  • @xXxSemioticLovexXx I know the feeling...mine is in 15 hours. Im kindof nervous. Got hit by a airsoft bb. How did your surgery go?

  • @DakotaLynnMartin I guess this is kind of late lol. Mine was fine though. Just hated wearing that dumb plastic thing over my eye. How did your surgery go?

  • @xXxSemioticLovexXx went good. He couldnt repair my iris, so my pupil is always going to be huge and up and towards the right corner of where that iris used to be. but, i got shot by an airsoft bb from point blank and had a really screwed up eye. From the words of one doctor i saw he said it looked like a scrambled egg. Im not seeing 20/20. Maybe something like 20/100 at the best, but hey, thats better than what i was seeing before, which was 20/fingers.Glad yours went well.

  • I had both my eyes done a year ago....I never thought that doctors could improve upon nature however my thoughts were unfounded. I was give perfect reading vision and -2 shortsight which was my choice. I had -9 shortsight before so I was very delighted with the results. Thank you wonderful doctors.

  • I found this very interesting. I had my first cataract surgery done 2 days ago and wished I was able to watch it! Thanks for sharing!

  • sorry wrong post. meant it for phaco chop

  • great video. just wish i could be this smooth. am still stuck at divide n conquer

  • I couldn't watch any of these videos before I had my surgeries done. My left eye was done in Jan of this year, and I was nerveous as hell. My second eye was done just 2 days ago, March 30th. I was so anxious to have the second one done, so my vision could be as good as the first eye. I have worn glasses for years, and already I can go without them. Only reading glasses now for computer, and books. Yeah!!! There was no pain whatsoever. The only pain was doing the drops 4 times a day for 4 weeks.

  • I'm getting this done on me in a couple weeks. After watching the other videos I have never been more traumatized. After watching this one I feel a little more at ease. The procedure shown in real time was not long at all and you seemed a little more gentle than the other video I was watching. I'd like to know where you practice :\

  • oh my god.... that is so nasty.....i think im traumatized.... XO

  • kadiri

  • very good

  • Dear Doctor, I had my cataract surgery in June 2009. It went well.

But I see halos around lights when I drive. and now i see shooting stars around the light. In the dark i see shadow of light on the same eye. I have cataracts both eyes. I had surgery in the left. All the time I feel something wrong with the left eye.

  • What implant was implanted?

  • @qamerunisa One of the 2 things has happened.. Either you have developed threads on your implanted lens.. Or your lens has been displaced. Kindly get a check up done from a different doctor this time.

  • very infromative. helps with my project.

  • I had both eyes done in November 09 by Doctor Alan Solinsky of West Hartford, CT. He is truly an amazing surgeon. I was wide awake and conversed with the Doctor and the nurse throughout both operations. There was No pain whatsoever, and the results were totally amazing. For the 1st time in my life, I don't need glasses and my vision is perfect. Thanks to Dr. Solinsky

  • I just had Cataract surgery yesterday on my second eye.

I am very glad I did not see this video before my procedure. ;-)

  • And dear docter wht the reson of cataract why it coming on eye in the age of 24 before i oprate my left eye in the age of 18th to 19th bitwen

  • hello docter

i oprate my right eye and docter put a lense name is Toric and its showing me yellow every thing i am very worry.tell me about some thing about Toric lense and i am only 24 years old boy

  • Toric lenses correct for astigmatism and they do have a yellowish tint that helps protect your retina the color difference you notice will most likely improve w time and has to do with your young age and very clear lens in your other eye you are comparing it to.

  • Muy claro y didáctico. Muchas gracias.

    Nieves

  • I had my left eye done the end of Sept. I was awake and OMG it was so scary! Got to go and get the right eye done in Dec! S***ing a brick! haha Really shouldn't have watched this video hahaha

  • kooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • Thanks Dr. Wade for doing this video...I learned a little more about cataract surgery by watching.

  • Thanks Dr. Wade for doing this video. I enjoyed it.

  • after the dr not happy with me moving around on my first surgery (6-3-09), i was surprised to wake up and find out my second surgery was done (6-24-09). she left me awake for the first one and put me total under on the second. i would have rather been under on the first also because it very weird feeling the pressure of everything happening and not being able to see anything but a bright light, so if anyone watches this and is nervous i would recommend asking to be totally under

  • I probably shouldnt be watching either was curious. I am having lefty eye catract surgery fri July 31, o9 and the right one Aug 21st

  • OMG, I wish I didn't watch this yet, I just had my right I done and was so nervous not knowing what was going on and now I think I will be more nervous knowing what is going on
