@zeokenX Actually, you may wanna do YOUR homework, Sonic the hedgehog came out for the sega genesis in 1991 while DBZ first aired on Toonami in 1997 (based on what came out first in the states, mind you) while Mario who made his first appearance in donkey kong (1981) although the actual platformer having some similarities, are very different. Mario going for a mixture of the right endurance and timing, while the other goes for speeding through levels and loops.

Dude ive done the last trick and I got 99 lives like that with Mario and then did the other 2 player trick on world 4's last castle with the frozen koopa and the rectangular sliding pannel and got 99 lives with Luigi that way. I love this game!

It's not endless 1-ups. Eventully you lose your star power until find another star.

the last trick i can do on the new super mario bros on the nintendo ds!

in the first level at the very last part there is an red koopa,

make sure u dont kill him, make him go in to hes shell,

drag it with you and stand on the hill (not on the top) before the flag,

let it get out hes shell, and wait 1 sec and jump on it! stay there and you will get 99 lives!!! (ps you have to be fire flower mario or else it will not work)
