I too am working at this piece. It is damnably difficult and technically challenging. I find Kyung's performance both inspirational and invigorating. I wish I could play it 25% as well as she does. I have listened at length to the famous Cortot's interpretations of Chopin which are regarded as landmark performances and I have to say that Kyung's are more alive and exciting.
That's just my tuppence worth as an amateur pianist.
I think she's a very fine pianist and very easy on the eyes, too! Her occasional slips don't bother me; it adds a human touch to things. She plays beautifully and not like a robot. She could come to my house and play all day for me. Please.
You're too kind for defending me. I am completely okay with constructive criticism, but some people prefer to be destructive and vitriolic for some reason. I asked my friend to delete destructive comments from now on. So I'm good. :) Thanks again.
