You go girl. We need more and more people speaking out on this issue - the most important component being as you point out that criminals don't obey laws. It is like the old saying, "Locks are for honest people". Criminals don't use keys, they just break the door down. Because they don't play by the rules, we need to level the playing field. And THAT is exactly why the 2nd ammendment was added to the constitution ironically, just for a different reason.

Just like drunk people loose fist fights, and those many that carry knives avoid all altercations, any sane person would either not carry a firearm to a bar or would avoid or remove themselves from the great possibility of any altercation at a bar.

As in all cases, caution and common sense need to be applied. If and when I get my concealed carry license, I will of course weigh the safety of each situation. The triumph is that I have the option to carry, if I wanted to.

I'm almost always the designated driver, because I do like hanging out with my friends but hate paying for the over-priced drinks at these places. Plenty of us go to these places and don't drink.
Texas law regarding "51%" establishments needs to be struck down just because of that alone.
Interesting not many women feel that way. I don't know if I would actually carry in some of these bars. I know for sure I wouldn't be drinking if, I was packing so more than likely I wouldn't be in a bar, but at least feel like gaining our rights back.
