  • I say fuck living in Manhattan. Don't get me wrong though. It's an awesome place to visit. I've met lot's of genuinely nice and cool people there in my 3 visits there. There's just so many other beautiful, less congested, and inexpensive places to live. I understand if you were born and raised there and have family there and the like, but just going to start a new life there?..............fuck that. Awesome short film

I always wonder what will happen if I get caught filming in the subway station

  • hey brother, keep this up. man if you're ever in california or in florida, I'll hook you up with a job.

  • that was one of the best shorts iv seen Keep it up. =]

  • hmm that narration doesn't really fit together to give you an accurate depiction of the new yorker he is describing.

  • And it's shot in Super 8 film, isn't it? Kewl!

  • actually, it's 16mm color reversal. but - yeah - I would have wanted it to have even more grain.

  • great all round package, love the camera work and edit. was that shot on a mobile phone????????

  • i forgot sound, great track!!

  • glad you like it. it was shot on 16mm reversal film.

  • I thought so, you cant beet the aesthetic. I thought Future Shorts was doing something with mobile phones. I will have to speak with Fabien.

    Great job!

  • thanks again!

  • "I say fuck that. I say no thanks. I say I'll do it my way. I say I'll do it tax-free. I say what I think, that is what I do. I say thank you; and a nice day to you too"

    Best fucking line EVER.

  • Funny how everyone seems to hate the futureshorts-intro to the film and how everyone complains to the filmmaker about it, instead of turning to futureshorts, who is obviously the one who put it there, since every film on their channel starts that way. Those few extra seconds are a small price to pay to have a film featured on a "power user's" youtube channel - such as futureshorts is, and the filmmaker gladly has them attach their intro to his/her film. After all - this is FREE!

  • Thats it! Thats my city!! haha. Perfect...I love how Futureshorts films always come full circle.

  • Awesome!

  • f**KING great!

  • Hate the long intro scene

  • Don't like the long intros....

just bring back the future shorts logo.

  • It's not theres it's for the sponsor, isn't it?

  • wasn't there another beginning?

  • too great

  • alright now i dont even remember what i wrote the first time but i really like this.

    cinco stars and favorited :)

  • to answer why this has been uploaded for the third time: the first two versions had problems with interlacing and playback. this one seems to be fine now.

  • Magnificent

  • C'mon now. This has uploaded 3 times now. Don't make me regret subscribing.

  • +1 support

  • i love it, but why has this been uploaded three times...

  • As we say .... ALA .... Means Great

  • I really loved it. Gives you another perspective of New York. 5 stars.

  • nice work! but you can put the ads as annotations without ruining the film. the banner next to the video and in futureshorts profile is enough.

  • Eventually websites will be Ads...

  • what you mean eventually? ^^

  • Love it too! ^_^

  • great

  • Love it <3
