Actually it's NOT a compressor problem in this video it's a data problem... I know this by looking at it because I know what the aired down characters look like and for one Munch wouldn't be looking sideways or have his head tilted as it is in this video and second all their mouths would be wide open. So I'm thinking when they popped out the normal showtape they pressed eject on the VCR instead of pressing UP & Down simultaneously on the Cyberstar computer.
WOW! They even forgot to turn on the air compressor back in the 90's, LOL. It's amazing what these dunce employees do. I bet some don't even know the NAME of the place...
@chuckecheeseshows It was really fun. A lot of my friends worked there, so being able to have a surprise party there was awesome!!! LOL...what does the air compressor do that they forget about it???
@4urhealthylife The air compressor is what makes the animatronic character show move. When the employees come turn on the show in the morning, alot of times they forget to turn the compressor on which is why the animatronics don't move sometimes. It is very common nowadays (2002-present) but I didn't know they forgot in the 90's! Normally they were smarter than some of the fools that work there today. Most of them forget to turn the show on all together now... haha.
@chuckecheeseshows Oh wow...that is really funny, so that explains why they didn't move a lot, hahahaha. And here I just thought they were "broken" lol. Now, when I take my kids and they are not moving I can go complain and tell them to turn on their air compressor. Thanks for that tip!!!
@4urhealthylife Wait just a second. If the compressor wasn't on, the curtains wouldn't be working. Therefore, it isn't the compressor here, it must be CyberStar. That damn system has so many problems it's hilarious. The compressor makes the curtains move also, so if it wasn't on the curtains wouldn't be working either. It's a shame the curtains are disabled now, it takes the magic away from the show. If you ever see that, PM me and let me know what location it is, and I'll let Home Office know.
@chuckecheeseshows Yes, the one we have here doesn't have curtains, but if I run into one that the curtains open but the animatronics don't move you want me to PM you?
@4urhealthylife Well actually all locations with an existing stage (the one with all the characters) have their curtains disabled. Studio C (the one with one robot) is supposed to use curtains, if they have tracks (the newer versions don't.) Yes, please PM me immediately if you ever see a show where the characters don't move at all. Just make sure you give me the location of the Chuck E Cheese's, and I will forward the information to Home Office.
@4urhealthylife Eh, God... I messed things up AGAIN. These curtains don't work on air compressors, they run on a motor, so that means it IS the compressor problem here. So my theory is right about the compressor. El Cheapo (aka Dick Frank) told them to disable the curtains so long ago that I forget about things related to the curtains... CECE has become so cheap and kiddieish nowadays, if anybody visited between '77-'95 and visited now, they wouldn't believe it's the same place... Sigh.
@chuckecheeseshows Oh ok :o) Yeah, the one I grew up with (the one in this video) has gone through some changes, but it still seems a little the same. Now, here in Colorado where we are now we have newer CECE (probably 4-5 yrs old) and it is wayyyyyyyy different...almost like a dance club, lol. But, us parents mainly go for the awesome salad bar and the delicious pizza :o)
@4urhealthylife There are still two 3-stage stage setups like the one in the video left in Colorado. FT. Collins, and Arvada. Even Arvada might have Studio C by now... By the way, do you know what location this is? Is it in Visalia, by any chance?
@4urhealthylife There is a photo of Superior on showbizpizzadotcom, YouTube won't let me post the link...
Oceanside has gotten rid of their 3-stage, and replaced it with a newer, cheaper stage called Studio C. Superior should have their curtains working, as they are a Studio C... Thanks for the info.
@chuckecheeseshows The last we were at the Superior one was about 2 years ago and their curtains never moved so it appeared they didn't have any. It was about 6-7 years ago (when we still lived their for my daughters bday and I swear the stage looked the same, when did they change it) I was at the O'side one and it seemed the same except a lot of the games of course.
@4urhealthylife Oceanside changed around 2005-2007. Not sure exactly, whenever they got remodeled into "Phase 4." Check out showbizpizzaforumdotcom/locations I check there whenever I need some info on a location.
@chuckecheeseshows That would be right, I would have to look at pics by my daughters birthday party their I think would have been 2005 (her 5th birthday) and they did have all three stages still at that time. I remember when the Oside one was called Showbiz Pizza "Put the fun back into eating out at Showbiz Pizza," LOL wasn't that a slogan???
@4urhealthylife Wow, that's cool you remember Showbiz! The only good thing about Showbiz was the sophisticated animatronics. Chuck E Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre destroyed Showbiz otherwise... With the huge netted ball pits, and the massive Fantasy Forest game area. PTT went bankrupt, Showbiz bought them out, CEC's characters replaced Showbiz's characters, and now the two companies are unified under the name Chuck E Cheese. Quite confusing, if I do say so myself... :)
