I don't think that I agree with that. What sort of government would you suggest? We must have a government, don't you think? There can be countless arguments about how Obama, Bush, Clinton, or whoever is stripping the freedom from Americans, but it all comes down to perspective. So many people take the advantages of this country for granted. We have a great political system and it has stood us in good stead historically and currently. I'm not sure where you got the information that the 14th Amendment prohibits a federal income tax. The 14th Amendment actually defines citizenship, originally passed to enfranchise former slaves after the Civil War. The 16th Amendment reads: "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration," which means that the federal government can tax us.

We can forget.There are many issues that plague us outside of Afghanistan. Many say that we can't afford this (in more ways than just monetarily). But others will say we can't afford NOT to do this( I am not political and never enjoy using the word "war".) But we have to stay determined to attain peace. Peace must accompany justice.
