When I was younger I had 3 friends like Gordie did and we were all best friends till I was about 13. Stephen King was right when he wrote that you never have any friends like the ones when you were 12. I'm 19 going on 20 and I still see my old friends where I live, some with children, some on drugs, but it upsets me to think they've probably forgotten all about the memories and I'm cherishing them till I die. I see me as Gordie and how he broke away and did something with his life.
