  • more tricks from david copperfield please!

  • how d fuck he done da

  • My favourite Illusionist of all time. Chris Angel try & do this trick. This is old school here...

  • What the hell? :S

  • flop

  • is that dragonheart music? xD

  • how?

  • We never know the secret behind this.

  • He is the Antichrist. Went to his show a couple years ago. Amazing illusionist. Speechless.

  • he is the one

  • I went to a show where he made about 13 audience members disappear and reappear at the back of the theater seconds later.

  • @shockwave68516, that's amazing. Were you shocked? Did you see any way it could have been done except for magic? Wow, that must have been a great show!

  • How the Hell did he do that???

  • i know david uses actors in his tricks but that's not possible for this one, except maybe the kid. however i believe jake was pre-selected before the show because if i was a magician i wouldn't want some random kid crying during my performance lol.

  • After seeing this Trick, David Copperfield deserves the nomination of Magican(maybe the best ever), although if there is no magic, this IS magic!!!

That's was amazing! He is the only one...

    SOMEBODY REPLY! :O

  • thats no illusion that's F***ING MAGIC

  • thats no illusion that's F***ING MAGIC!

  • thats no illusion that's F***ING MAGIC!

  • Magic makes me feel insecure and a failure as a human. I get so angry at myself for never being smart enough to see how I was fooled.

  • @MidnightSundowns

Then why the hell did you watch this video?

Magic isn't for everybody, but many people enjoy being fooled. We like mystery and the unknown :P

I myself do not believe in Gods, ghosts, religion, the afterlife, magic or anything... but this is still very fun to watch!

  • Not sure. I suppose I watched it because I wanted some entertainment, but quickly realized that this person (and people) were smarter than me and more able to do things like this and that I could not, which made me disappointed with myself.

  • i dont know about you guys but i think this is real shitt

  • how is the initials and pic anything 2 do with this?

  • @ESENDETproductions to show that there were never 2 of him, or of the guy whom was with him who kept the picture in his pocket.

  • speechless..... O.o

  • speechless..... O.o

  • bastard made me cry... now THAT'S MAGIC!

  • Whats the name of the song around 10:00 ? would be nice if somebody finds out and replys here, thank you.

  • modern day jesus. nothing more

  • amazing i mean just amazing.

  • it dont matter how many times i watch this it always makes me cry...i lost my dad and the first time i saw d.l live was with my dad...i miss him more than words could ever say

  • @taylee031221 i miss my Dad too. He died in 2005 from lung cancer and I miss him more than anything in the world. I'm sorry, I read your comment and felt something in common with you even though we are strangers. I'm sure your Dad is proud of you right now. God bless.

  • @taylee031221 Im so sorrry, i havent seen my died in 4 years. he lives far away. i can relate to this. im so so sorry.

  • ummmm ..... errmmmm .... WTF? I'm speechless.

  • WOW!

  • One more thing, if anybody here who is complaining knows how he did it, then just make a video and do the same. You know how he did it, right?

  • ROTFL 10:00

  • You can tell the feed is fake because there is absolutely no delay.

  • how the hell did he disappear from that platform, but i guess thats explained somehow...as for the audience members..all in on it, all taught to try and replicate their actions on the board exactly. Notice how the kid without hesitation knows perfectly how to write that J. A kid who was really selected at random would hesitate somewhat...the photo was the exact same one he's always had...as for diff people being selected each show he pre-recorded dozens of different setups with different people.

  • @shotgunwound

    1. The disapperance is never explained.

    2. Its an audiance of 22,000 people! If he paid all of them then its a world record for the most extra's used in any film. (the world record was 8,000 for the film 'Gladiator')

    3. The people's photo graph's match EXACTLY, not just the writing, but also their hand position as they wave, the breeze on their clothes... everything.

    4. Yes, the kid does NOT know how its done; but he is a 'stage child' who the performer knows isn't shy.

  • @TheMagicofIllusion I didnt mean the entire audience lol...obviously the audience members who took part on stage are in on it...that's the only logical way he could do it. I know the photograph is the same, i never said it wasnt...but obviously he took the photograph before he filmed in Hawaii..hence when he takes the photo on stage...and shows us it - he's not using the photo he just took, he's using the original one he took b4 hawaii. And yes the kid does it all as if its rehearsed.

  • @shotgunwound

The kid is not reheresed, but he was the only one on stage chosen by Copperfield non-randomly. Magicians never use randomly selected children, they might cry and stuff. So we find kids before the show starts to use, like Jake :)

The audiance members are selected at random, so that everyone knows that the photograph is unique. I thought this was incredibly obvious to everyone... but apparantly not.

  • i hate these smart asses who swear they know everything i guarentee u no body has a clue on how it's done, and ther's no prob about that but u dont need to be a fag and act like your so smart and that u know the trick stop being such a buzzkill and just admit that its a great trick.

  • I really hate (sorry my englis im learning) the people who wants to "kill" the ilussion of the magic, its obvious that´s a trick, but you have to enjoy it and not try to "kill it" thats my point of view. The trick/ilussion was amazing!

  • ok, when he was in hawaii why didnt he do some live interaction with the audience? like tell them to ask him stuff and he responds...very good though, mindblowing

  • wow

  • 9:15

    aw soo sweet :3

  • This is some dark arts shit ... don't task yourself trying to comprehend it.

  • This is some dark arts shit !! It's not a trick ... don't task yourself trying to figure it out.

  • Beautiful :)

  • This is a great illusion for sure, especially the disappearing.. mind blowing... I have no idea how he does it. BUT, ive studied both initials, and im 100% sure they're different.

  • They look different because of the different camera angles, but they are the same; and the photo ofcourse is still identical and signed.

  • @TheMagicofIllusion

They look different because they ARE different. The top of the S streaks out towards his armpit while the stage copy does not. The Polaroid does not match, either. Again, these things are extremely obvious.

  • @cocotower

So what you're saying is they found people who look ALMOST identical and replicated the photo, and the signitures and everything in under a minute...?

You'll notice their hand positions in the photos are in exactly the same positon and so on...

... some people will think up ANY explanation. If you were even close I wouldn't allow you to comment xD

  • @TheMagicofIllusion I watched the Portal show twice. Once in SF and once in Tahoe. My friend was chosen as one of the random people to go up on stage and in the photo he took to the island. Hell if I know how he did it. lol

  • @edgarortega

I'm glad you posted, because this is another example of how the auidnace members are NOT in on it :)

It just makes the illusion all the more beautiful.

  • @TheMagicofIllusion DuDe The Description Is Right... Ultimately magic is NOT about trying to work out how the trick is done, but to try and enjoy it for what it is. This is as close to a miracle as you or I are ever likely to see, and I think we should appreciate that for what it is.

  • This is a lost arm form.

  • lupet..! idoL..!

  • how

  • Very beautiful ilusion, still pretty easy to explain

  • @extremekiler, ok explain!

  • @extremekiler, ok explain!

  • @extremekiler, k explain how its done!

  • @extremekiler well explain it then

  • @extremekiler well explain it then

  • its fake and prerecorded vid compare the TS at 6:53 and 8:36 in this vid dont smatch almost perfect but its hard to recreate writing

  • "The initals are not the same"

    - Yes they are, though they are seen from a different angle.

Also, the picture is exactly the same.

  • @TheMagicofIllusion i dont believe it but i still love the art if its fake or not who knows some things i just dont believe but still watch and love to believe

  • the five people were payed and working with David man.

  • Thats why they are ALL randomly selected from a sea of 22,000 people.

    Think about it -.-

  • lol I was crying

  • I see..

I'm not going to ruin it, though. It's very touching. :3

  • what a happy ending! i am going to cry...

  • There are ofcourse many theories about how this was done. Each of these theories can be proved wrong, and we could think about how its done till the end of time - but thats not the point.

The point is its a beautiful bit of entertainment, that moved me, and many others to tears. I know how the illusion is done, but I honestly wish I did not, because it ruins the magic of it.

  • Duplicates used. Photo was digitally made instantly by sending over the internet. T S isn't the hardest thing to write on an arm. They didn't actually leave the studio of course. Father and son thing is part of the illusion.

  • Except ofcourse that David Copperfield has no twin, or even a brother, and neither does the boy to my knowledge.

Also, consider the fact that he has performed this over 3000 times, and he always uses different people... thats a lot of twins...

Plus ofcourse a signiture on an arm is extreamely hard to fake, imagine how much practise you need to fake a signiture... then think about writing it on an arm... someone ELSE arm, it could never look indentical. Pause the video and study it if you like.

  • Comment removed

  • Really? So you think it was actually the same to twins all along... except ofcourse that doesn't answer the fact that Copperfield has no twin at all.

  • @TheMagicofIllusion

    The video was Pre-Recorded.

  • -.-

You seem to be forgetting that it cannot have been pre-recorded, because of the TS initials and the photo. If it was pre-recorded, it would not have had these in it.

    Understand?

  • The TS initials and photo DO NOT match 100%.;

They look alike, but PRACTICE makes perfect when they drew these designs.

The boys brought on stage rehearsed with David. They are actors.

I saw the people In The Lobby at the show I went to.

Prerecorded video, synced talking with the beach guy.

You know very well he didn't warp to some beach.

Again, the only real trick in this trick was when he

    vanished from the box.

  • Then that is even MORE impossible, firstly, they do match though admittidly they are seen from slightly different angles. Even the way the people in the picture hold their hands as they wave is the same.

It cannot be a different photo, because where would they find five people who look idential to the first to pose for them? And ofcourse they were randomly selected.

  • Give me a break, man. The photo has the same people in it because it was taken earlier.

The select-at-random thing is a very very old and easy trick.

  • Really?... you think so? Then explain these:

    1. HOW are they selected at random? The ball and frizbie is thrown multiple times across big distances. In an audience of 22,000 people.

    2. How their hand positions are in the EXACT same position when the photo is taken... and their hands were waving at the time it was taken, almost impossible to replicate.

    3. If this comments was even close to the real answer I wouldn't allow it anyway :P

  • You also forget how they vanish and reappear.

I can give you two bits of advice:

Firstly, the design of a trick is usually very low-tech and simple.

Secondly, if you did know, it would ruin the wonder of the trick :)

  • Comment removed

  • The video cannot have been made prior because the writing and the picture have only just been made. Thats why he made them, to prove it was a live feed, which it is.

  • @johnny2d well what you say its logical but a family member saw this illusion and one of his friends participated in the signature of the arm, maybe just the boy is part of the illusion and waht they actually do is dissapear into a green screen or something

  • Except ofcourse they were clearly standing in tonnes and tonnes of sand, and actually played in the sea. And there was no out-line on them, which means it was no a green-screen because it was filmed in 2000, not 2010, and green-screens were not that good back then.

  • themagicofillusion hasnt a fuckin clue how its done and is going on like a disney fag about it

  • really clever trick you can see how its done but true genius

  • FAKE

  • Yes ofcourse its fake you fucking dumbass , theres no such thing as real magic , its all tricks but its still good entertainment

  • @bajsmongo66 Sure, there's real magic. Look at what Obama and the dems are doing this weekend. Smoke and Mirrors.

  • saw this live it was pretty damn cool.

  • Instant Transmission.

  • Thats the idea, though instant transmission of an instant teleport :P

  • It's more like Goku's Instant Transmission but more dramatic. :p

I wish I can manipulate my energy to do that one day.

  • its the only way to travel :)

  • haha

  • Just tell us dude..........

  • dude man i dont care how bad i feel man i want to know how he did that

i mean its a very cool trick and im glad he got to see his dad again but man i do want to know how he did that

  • This illusion blew me away! I would also like to know the music that he used for this. I recognize it but I can't place it.

  • Dragonheart theme

  • Well, most of the people would like to know the secret. The thing is when magician have lived their life, they all like to share the secret. The only rule is that they must teach it to someone who has interest in magic, practise the art of magic, so that he can use those techniques to develop even more amazing illusion.

Magicina don't like to teach those people who just want quick fix solution to this illusion

  • Just got totally blown away by this illusion.

Hats off to you Mr. David Copperfield

  • there's no such thing as magic....dont let me expose it :-)

  • there's no such thing as magic---

  • omg !!!!!!!! :0

    amazing......

  • how the f@#k does he do that

  • perfect illusion perfect illustionist

  • What is that song that plays at the end of this illusion?! I've been trying to find this song for so long!

  • @MangleTangle

    Dragonheart Theme

  • In the words of Penn and Teller, bullbananas...

  • Well this is maybe the most efficient way for some1 that uses far more then 8-15 % of his brain to live his life without being put in a lab by the government and experimented on . We all heard of buddhist monks levitating and such so why the disbelief . That was no f card game lol . There is no way in hell that was just an illusion , the only illusion here is David making us all think it was only an illusion . Well ... imao anyway ! hope none offended :)

  • I wanna smoke what you smoked!

  • Comment removed

  • It`s his best trick i think.

Much thought about it, but got no clue how he made it at all.

  • Just took a guess, based on your knowledge of this particular illusion.

Do you know who John Gordon is, a magician from England?

  • @terminat1

    I don't know him, sorry :P

  • unexplainable bacause you can see from the back, bottom, top, and there was an audience all around

  • Amazing illusion. that said, of course it is an illusion, its obviously not real. But that's the reason people go to these shows, to experience something they cannot explain.

But for anyone to say the people are not chosen randomly are kidding themselves. It would be stupid for someone as highly regarded as David to risk the entire illusion on throwing a ball, behind his back, to a staged person, or even group of people for that matter.

  • @benigin10270

    You speak da truth :D

  • Just wondering, are you a magician?

  • @terminat1

Yes I am a magician, I am a Mentalist - which is a person who does mental magic with the mind; like Derren Brown and such.

    Why do you ask? :)

  • Just took a guess, based on your knowledge of this particular illusion.

Do you know who John Gordon is, a magician from England?

  • @terminat1

No, I'm afraid I've never met him :)

  • Just took a guess, based on your knowledge of this particular illusion.

  • hydraulics and strings all the way ;). why don't you accept 'exposure' comments?

  • @ooltimu

Because if you know how it is done, it looses all the wonder and mystery. The fact that you cannot know how it is done, makes it so much more believable: imagine this:

Imagine your watching your favourite film, and the guy survives the heart transplant surgery and its a beautiful ending, all teary eyed. Now imagine how annoying and worse it would be if you had a guy next you saying "THIS IS TOTALLY FAKE, HE WOULD DIE AGES AGO".

Sometimes its fun to pretend :)

  • @TheMagicofIllusion in my opinion it's more fascinating to try to find how it's done. i think it's more fascinating to discover what's behind. you cannot contemplate things completely if you don't know what's behind them. for example, it's fascinating how a car works, but if you study how an engine is made and how it works, you'll see the really amazing part.

  • @ooltimu

Indeed, but that is because an engine is complicated. This is VERY simple and when an audience finds out how it is done, they often feel angry or disappointed that they were taken in with such a simple deception.

For example if a child see's a ball "floating" in mid air, he is amazed and pleased. If he see's a string attached to it, he is no longer amazed or pleased. All the wonder and magic is lost.

  • ". This is VERY simple"

Then can you explain, tell us how it works?

  • Trust me, you don't want to know :)

Once you know how it works, an audience often feels angry or annoyed that they were taken in by something so simple, and the wonder and amusement is lost.

  • I still want to :))

I know it's illusion and once you know how it happened it loses value, but .. :P

    Pm me :):)

  • Trust me, you don't want to know. And once you do know you - like me- will wish you didn't know.

I stay awake at night WISHING I didn't know how this was done, because Portal made me cry when I first saw it.

Its like believing in Santa, wouldn't it be so much cooler if we all believed in him? :D

  • Yeap right :D

    Santa would be funny.

I understand, realize but still.......... :D

    Oh those illusionists..

  • you allready prooven its fake by saying you know how this works, so why cant you tell us how :P ?

  • Because that would ruin the magic :D

  • @TheMagicofIllusion how about sending me a personal message ;), btw I remember seeing this live in Ottawa

  • did he really meet his dad or was that an illusion
