Bruce lee wrote the Silent flute screenplay but was refused the part ! (he was a little bit too Chinese looking!) The name of it was changed to Kung fu and made into a series starring an American man disguised to look like a Chinese man - David Carradine ! Bruce lee was demoralised by this but went on to produce his own films.

Its nice to show how Tarantino payed homage to Bruce Lee's films. He was, and has always said he was, a huge fan. Kill Bill was a tribute to all the old Shaw Brother's flicks that Tarantino loved growing up!
