Excellent, very enjoyable, fine tone, spirited feeling. The best characteristics of Dohnanyi are here: wit, warm colors, sidestepping harmonies.........would be good to hear more often. Thank you.

Great piece. This music must be heard in concerthalls more often than the iron repertoire-vc's we hear too often.

wow your tone is just gorgeous! congratulations! the spirit of this piece was captured so nicely. dohnanyi is great. i play piano, and i just put up a video of his sixth concert etude. i agree--he's underrated and deserves more recognition as a great 20th century composer.

I only wish I could see this performed in the NY area some day! Do you have the whole concerto? That would be great. I think Dohnanyi should be recognized as one of the greatest composers of the 20th Century.

in fact the second concerto is also as good as this if even not better - I share your distinguish opinion about Dohnányi - Yes, it will be the whole concerto put later on:-)

I agree about the 2nd Concerto, like the 2nd Symphony, a taut, late work - Dohnányi did have a distinguishable and impressive "late" style. I'd love to see these works, and also his lovely early-middle period Konzertstück for Cello and Orchestra.
