If you buy the Blue Line, get it without sound, then put in a Tsunami EMD 567 and speaker. At this point, the only realistic sound is from Tsunami, or possibly LokSound. My diesel here is from the original Life Like P2K run from some years back. I modified the frame to accommodate the Tsunami board and speaker. The speaker resides under the radiator deck.
I see blue line has a SD9 coming out in April next month.. I won't buy one unless it has the real sound like this one? Or I can hear it first? Somebody had one on youtube and its wayyyy off once again! What maker is this engine you have? That's awesome sounding!!!
Could You Explain More on how you Got the Notching together? I have a NCE and All my Trains just start up fast or when i turn momentum on Start off going about 3SMPH instead of starting smoothly from a stand still
Check the Soundrax Diesel users manual. CV3 and 4 must be set to 20 or so for Accel, Decel delay. CV116 must be set to 0 for Manual Notching. Use F9 to increase engine revs, F10 to decrease revs.
Real diesels rev up or down ahead of accelerating or decelerating. With the speed at zero, Hit F9 3-4 times, then move the speed to 15 or 20. When the loco reaches speed, Hit F10 once or twice to drop the revs back down, unless you are pulling a heavy string of cars.
Very impressive!! Really captures that 567 lumpy sound! I was going to get Digitraz, but this one sold me on Tsunami!!! :-)
