I completely agree. I was bullied at every school I went too and it never stopped. I tried ignoring them, telling teachers, telling parents, nothing worked. Until I stared to get bullied at collage, and knocked the guy out the guy bullying me. I've never been bullied since. I'm not saying start fights, stay away from them. If they come to you simply tell them to fuck off in a confident tone. If that doesn't work then fight back.

I got 3 days out of school suspension for hitting my bully after he gave me a black eye on the bus I grabbed his sweatshirt and punched him on to the ground he got back up but I reacted fast enough to block his hit and have the bus driver notice it he should up for himself so he did what he had to and the bully deserved it.

I TOTALLY agree. I currently work as a yard duty, & it KILLS me that we have to tell the kids "let us know if youre being bullied, & WE will take care of it." Um...THAT does NOT teach the child how to defend himself. They go through life never knowing how. I got 3 days out of school suspension for hitting my bully after he gave me a black eye on the bus I grabbed his sweatshirt and punched him on to the ground he got back up but I reacted fast enough to block his hit and have the bus driver notice it he should up for himself so he did what he had to and the bully deserved it.

I TOTALLY agree. I currently work as a yard duty, & it KILLS me that we have to tell the kids "let us know if youre being bullied, & WE will take care of it." Um...THAT does NOT teach the child how to defend himself. They go through life never knowing how. I take a different approach & empower the child to stand up for him or herself by teaching them what to say & do (w/out violence) for every individual situation. Its so rewarding to find out they took my advice, & the bully left them alone. :)

Sure it might be because they're just assholes that think it's funny, or cool or whatever to bully others, to belittle others and make themselves look the tougher, cooler person. But why are they like that? That's what "psychologists out there" try to work out. I was a victim of bullying throughout my school years but I don't just think bullies are assholes, I pity them.

You are right but if a child was never taught discipline, ignored by his parents, doesn't know a thing about consequences or responsibilities; what do you do? You can blame the parents but that doesn't teach the kid a thing.
Let us know how you would deal with it and your comment is perfectly viable, otherwise you have to understand that not everyone from a broken home can be saved gracefully. Not every "bully" can be straightened out.
