Deliberately annoying someone with a topic they aren't interested in is not going to get you support. Almost everyone I know doesn't care if someone's gay or not; one of my best friends is gay and I don't care either way. He says he hates gays who go out of their way to annoy people.
I couldn't agree with you more about why we need Pride marches, and why we need to speak up about issues like discrimination, ignorance and intolerance to gays & lesbians and trans people.
