As for the ball, it is shit ugly. I guess Konami thought it would be better to leave the Adidas Teamgeist out of the game and throw in random Reebok balls that has never seen the light of day before. They included the Teamgeist Superliga (Red/White ball with the TG panels) though so Kudos.

R2 + Back (for the first dragback move), and then immediately move the stick forward and 45 degrees to the side of your players strong foot.
So standing with Ronaldinho facing to the right of the screen, R2 + to the left for the dragback, and then immediately move the stick so that it points to the down-right direction.
