@1996kostas1996 Not true, HPs TX2 and TM2 line have pretty good multitouch, and so does the Zune HD. But for the most part, you're right. Apple has put a good bit of effort into their multitouch.
wow it looks quite a lot like my Sony vaio cw but I used to have a hp touch but Munro you can turn around the whole thing flip and all those stuff it cost 150000 dollars the Sony vaio cw that I got now cost 120000
Also the fan does run constantly and at pitch that you can hear definitely hear in a quiet room or even with the TV on. For me that is a deal breaker.
Also W7 battery was showing 7 hours with 3/4 brightness and balanced power mode.
I actually just tested a 5102 configured with a touchscreen after they accidentally sent me my canceled order.
I have to warn others, the touch screen is capacitive but it isn't a very responsive one. Not nearly as seamless as an iphone in terms of its "feel". It seams to cut in and out when doing page swipes or scrolling in firefox. I had to really be dead center on links ect. for it to read the input.
Good looking (perhaps a little chunky). Fan runs constantly and was a bit of a borderline deal breaker for me. Dont by it as a touch screen netbook and just go for one of the smart by options (much cheaper). If your looking for a touch screen netbook, look elsewhere.
Sacha is actually incorrect, the touch screen option is capacitive. The touchscreen is a $50 option at a base price of $518. It all adds up one you add 6 cell battery ect. but I will be getting mine in about 10 days. Looking forward to it.
thanks for the info. they couldn't tell me anything about the the touchscreen or the price during this event, so i had to go for it, to make sure we get a hands on video. that's the good thing about interactive media-platforms like youtube, you have the chance that someone can add information or correct you.
@minipcpro Of course and thanks for all your great videos. I am very curious to see how the capacitive changes the 10" touchscreen experience. The one good thing about a resistive screen is that you have the option to reach for a stylus if you need to touch small areas (or sketch). I had the t91mt for a few months and although it was just too underpowered to be a great experience, was really impressed with its sensitivity and flexibility.
And per your podcast: I know that both you and Steve agree, touchscreens are a great addition to a netbook form factor and once you've experienced it, its hard to go back to just a trackpad. We'll see if I'll miss the convertible aspect of the T91...
i still have the original T91 and it's getting a little upgrade soon, means a fresh windows 7 installation. I wish it would sport an N450, that would make it a fantastic device.
My last comment was lame, didn't watch the video clip. Anyone know when this thing is going to released for sale? HP doesn't have anything on their site, but reviewers are getting them.
my school has the same touchscreen netbook

Can the screen turn all the way around so you can use it as a tablet ?
Otherwise I see no point of having a touch screen if it's gonna be at an awkward angle.

the multitouch here SUCKS. Only apple has made proper Multitouch screen products... The rest are good but always lag.

touchscreen on a device like this is just a novelty...you have a mousepad, you have a keyboard, why the f**k would you need a touchscreen?
gofudgeyourselfx 2 years ago
If you've owned a device like this with a touch screen you wouldn't be asking that question!
Touch screen on a netbook like this changes your work flow!

@gofudgeyourselfx sometimes its hard to use mouse when doing a photoshop.. touchscreen makes job faster and easier.

Yes, I did the same thing. Makes a world of difference to the over all experience of the T91.
