Free markets are subject to the law. Companies who break the law get punished severely, as you can readily see in case after case. People do not have faith in the free market system anymore because they feel it's the markets fault or read the 'rich is at fault,' not the government. Peter is only right as far as companies who act ethically, morally and principled. There lies the fundamental problem 'Human Nature..' Free market principles no longer have place in mainstream thinking. This is the change Obama is talking about.

Free markets are subject to the law. Companies who break the law get punished severely, as you can readily see in case after case. Corporations must obey the law, the federal government by contrast gets away with murder, literally, and there's nothing there to hold government accountable anymore. Ultimately the markets are going to bury this government "change" because govt power and leverage isn't infinite. There's enough media kool aid to stay drunk on for now but the hangover will be hell

This video is a good example how the media tries to distort info. There is no way you can say this guy did not have an agenda. He was trying to twist Peter's story so much that he had to keep talking over Peter from explaining his entire point. He kept trying to portray that Peter was completely against health care reform, wanted to raise taxes, and that the government has no role in raising prices. jesus.. the problem is the doctors, hospitals and health care insurance companies. when a health care ins company knows it can stall treatment to the point the patient may die, and not have to pay costs it will do it. The docs see the profits the insurance companies are making, and they jack up their prices. the hospitals then have to jack up their prices to keep their profit margin.. the healthcare comps then jack up their costs. and round we go.

Gov loans go to get doctors thru school. Loans paid for by the taxpayer. Then these people go into plastic surgery and do face lifts. Taxes also go for R&D and donations.. then what do they do.. make you pay 600 a month for prescriptions.
