It's got a bit of an odd sound...when the engineer quills it, it almost sounds like two different whistles between the valve being half open and full.
I have to agree with MandavoshkaMajafaja to a point. I thought that wierd stressed sound was just a recording flaw but then I listened to some of the other MDWhistles on here. They pretty mush all sound really good but have the same odd sound to them. Maybe it's the metal used to make the whistles? Are they welded instead of cast? Anyway, I definitely admire the fact that there are people out there still making new whistles.
I never thought my musical and steam interests would cross paths n this way. To explain;
In the movie "Willow" during the scenes with Cherlindrea, there is this wonderfully haunting background music that I've always thought was pure genius by James Horner. Well I still think it was, but now I know where it came from.
I'm going to look more into multi-chime whistles, because that was simply too delicious and intoxicating to ignore.
Rex has a very unique way of playing the whistle. Also, great sound on that whistle.
