As funny and true as this is, it still boggles the mind that a winery will release something that they know is crap, and expect distributors to push it through anyway. Then again, if your approach to selling wine is like Detroit's to selling cars (at least until recently), what else to expect?
Oh my God. I lived this conversation on a monthly basis at four different distributors until I got out of the trade. Whoever created this is a genius.
No, that would be Moldovan wines. I am a Fred Meyer wine steward, and I've had your wines, they suck. If they retailed for $5.99, maybe, but not for the prices you were charging. Quit blaming other people for your failure, and look at your dumb-ass business model.
As a retailer in Portland I take offense at these comments. While some of his Moldovan wines were OK, they were way over-priced to break into a market where too many people want the same boring wines. When I find it hard to sell lovely Italian wines such as Raboso and Ciro Rosso, why should I take on inventory cost for totally unknown wines? I've tried India, Brasil, and some other places. Lesser known wine producing areas need to be at bargain prices in today's environment.
I suggest Moldovawineimporter should be careful about his comments if he does not want lawyers on his doorstep. I do not see how saying I found other people's comments about his wines offensive, and said his wines were OK but over-priced that I am a low life dush (sic) bag person. My comment was the first I've ever put on youtube and I've never done anything on Craigs List. I would like an apology from the importer.
Are you Dale Benson of Moldova Traders if you are not, I apologize to Mr. Benson. Im the owner of a wine shop in Portland that has been open for over 15 years. I no longer have my tasting notes, but seem to remember wines coming from a Chateau Vartely. Most were from international varietals, but I remember an interesting white from a grape that I think was called Feteasca. You have a funny way of treating potential customers by abusing them. I am still awaiting an apology.

Yes, J MickeyB.. that is Dale Benson. He knows very little about anything. He's a disgusting know-it-all who constantly brags on himself. He's an almost 50 year old lazy, filthy slob who lives with his mother in a house that is so littered with his garbage and junk, that it's a neighborhood eyesore.
He's never held a real job for any length of time, and is such a repulsive lowlife that even some of his relatives refuse to be anywhere around him.
That may be so Mr. Wine Guy. But as a 22 year veteran of the wholesale business in NYC, I can tell you that its more true than ever right now. Brilliant video. Kudos to you.
No, just the opposite...especially funny to those who live it. Yes, I see it everywhere I go selling wine in the U.S. I will be using this in my classes at Cal Poly and Davis as an intro. Priceless!
This sort of shite is exactly what I put up with daily. Highly allocated, only 1 case released to the world, RP best buy 98 pts, ST 99 pts, would you like your case? Going quickly, marked down to the dumpster where it belongs. 9 months later where it's still sitting, collecting dust, the following vintage, which is worst and has a shelf life of exactly 3 days, shows up. Go ahead make your own wine I dare you.
Every end of the month the Wine Managers were given a quota by a Liquor guy who expected miracles. He didn't understand relationships becuase he didn't have any. New Jersey is like all the major markets. Mr Wine 101 is absolutely on target.
Are you kidding? They resemble EVERY salesperson in the industry. i AM a salesperson in the industry &, well, this is pretty much exactly how it is. THAKS, DUDE!!! Awesomeness!!!!
