I got mine off ThinkGeek(dot)com for $105..Shipping Included. This thing Rocks! I does so great with more than just Emulated Game Playing. The Microphone has some Great Gain Clarity than most Voice Recorders. The only think that kinda sucks is the Internet.and having to kinda Scavenge are for things in Support and more..even if you go to the Forum for it. The CD Guide doesn't give you much Info on what it can do either. When you do get all you want adjusted to it..then it's the Best Ever!
you should have gotten the Dingoo A320 and uploaded dingux to it it's far more powerful with more support, and greater compatibility. It's larger the only benefit of this is the touch screen, personally I have an A320 and love it.
@UFRecords01 Dingoo has a better community because it's cheaper. Your hardware can be awesome, but programming is what counts. I will concede that the Wiz screen is much better, and the touchscreen is really cool.

@reggiardito you can make it about halfway; i've got several of those running well on ds and psp (which was a PITA by comparison, especially the DS). But for the more obscure systems, the DS and PSP ports just dont' have the homebrew community behind them to the degree that the wiz ports do. I would assume because they're not open devices. Anyway, for compatability and # of platforms, wiz is at least 50% ahead.
@DeathRhyme they sure can. As always, some games will have problems (i can't get parappa to work 100% for example), but many of the games work 90-100%. An example of a game that works great is crash bandicoot. The usual emulator issues apply, but i have an entire SDHC card dedicated to PS1 for mine.

@BanjoKiD2K If you can afford it, you can get a pandora. It will play just about anything in terms of video files and can emulate everything up to the n64 including the n64. They have analog and digital controls, great battery life, a keyboard, 2 sd slots, an 800x480 screen, wifi, etc... But they are $330.
Yeah they would have been handy also for Speccy Emu etc, but the DS is great for that as bottom becomes a touch screen keyboard.
The thing is the Pandora is limited number and in UK about £280 when they are in stock....
Would be better off with a notebook PC with 7" Screen lol...
Pandora is good but maybe a tad expensive, i was going to go for the Wiz but worried about the buttons being a D pad config and most of all the screen tear, i may wait to see how the Caanoo matures.

if you get the Dingoo, gamester, get the Dingux software installed on it, because from what i read, it works better than the stock software. as well the PSP/PSPGo Clones are supposed to be good for emulation and media
@Jgump20 i bought the dingoo, it did play the games fine but trust me it broke on me just over a week in the shoulder button broke during normal use i opened up the dingoo to see if i could fix it, inside of the dingoo looks pretty messy the motherboard has solder that looks like it was done by hand, i wasnt impressed so i sent it back got a full refund glad i did! the dingoo is dodge i would recommend the wiz even though i dont own one, the dingoo cant be trusted with quality!

dingoo sucks the a320 has half the ram of the wiz, which means all the emulators are slower etc. it doesnt support flash files over flash player 6 and doesnt even have an interface ie. you cant even watch a video if you have to press a start button or any swf games! and it doesnt have touch screen support. and if anyone wants to bring up the a330 go ahead cus that piece of shit has had more problems than Fidel Castro!

How can you possibly call this a dsi knock off? It doesn't have 2 screens, looks nothing like a DSI, is an open system (as opposed to the DSI only runs officially licensed nintendo software), has a MUCH faster processor, much more ram, runs linux, plays audio and video in tons of different formats, runs emulators...

i've played around with most of them...anything in the 8-bit era runs smooth...but the snes was a nightmare...most of the time a layer or two would be missing...
@dkrocks i have the phat, nes emulation is perfect, the snes emulation isnt slow but the compatabilty is limited and some games sprites are missing, but alot of games are playable. genesis emulation is good, cept for sound, and most other sega stuff runs very good. gameboy emulation is flawless.
@22therealone bullshit ds has a really bad graphics card and a weak 3d accelerator. they didnt even put enough technology in it to make a mist-like area, or any kind of semi transparent item
eh, everytime i see this or the Dingoo i wonder why people dont pick up and mod a psp slim 2000 instead almost the same price, better emulators, and better build quality and possibly battery life because my modded psp lasts up to 8 hours on battery if i dont have the brightness all the way up and i made my own pandora battery
Im not sure either I feel like the wiz would be more reliable because the dingoo sounds like it has too many problems and the models arent the same anymore they are being produced using cheaper parts than the original which makes them freeze more and stuff. This is a but more expensive but it looks like it will last me much longer than a dingoo
yeah tbh dingoos are not that good, on mine the buttons after about a couple of weeks went bad (jams not responding on time) and the D pad is not good at all way to slippery
yeah I re picked up my dingoo and man is it worn, it more worn out then my 9 year old GBA some kid I know has a wiz and you wil most likely like it a lot more, the buttons are better quality and the emulation is a LOT better (and also I dont think the screen scratches as easily) and there is overall more systems in it.

@pulsini Just be warned, the emulator are community made. Some games suffer a little here and there but that's due to the coding of the emulators.
If anything Mod a psp that is not a 3000 model if you want more dedicated emulators.

Also it would be handy to know which handheld also gives good Video play back of most AVI DivX/Xvid Files without the need to re-encode them.

dingoo sucks the a320 has half the ram of the wiz, which means all the emulators are slower etc. it doesnt support flash files over flash player 6 and doesnt even have an interface ie. you cant even watch a video if you have to press a start button or any swf games! and it doesnt have touch screen support. and if anyone wants to bring up the a330 go ahead cus that piece of shit has had more problems than Fidel Castro!

Is this hand held system competing with the psp 3? I have a psp model 1 and i looked @ the psp flat known as modle 2 which the only thing you could do is hook it up to your t.v.. Well chat you later man. Good stuff bro.

Now I'm convinced more then ever this thing is the crappiest thing ever made its made so cheaply and has the worse control on it of any portable console ever made.
Gp2x Really fucked up this time the earlier versions were 100 times better than this I just recently had a chance to play with one and my findings on were terrible I don't think its going to last a year before the controls break.

This thing costs more then my psp and the PSP can do the emulators to. Anytime i get a new game i put the rom on my PSP. Plus i can play ps1 and PSP games on it. Looks cool for someone who might have trouble hacking there psp though.

mhhh, i cant program games but i wanted to say thats its possible (btw im 15 :P).
i think the games are better cuz they are older games (which u can play on the WIZ with emulators).
i admit they often have worse graphics, simpler gameplay than the DS games, but hey:
a funny game doesnt have to be complicated !
its all about having fun, and im sure u can have the very same thing with old (SNES-, NES-, GBA-, GB-, PSX-....)games too.

How can you possibly call this a dsi knock off? It doesn't have 2 screens, looks nothing like a DSI, is an open system (as opposed to the DSI only runs officially licensed nintendo software), has a MUCH faster processor, much more ram, runs linux, plays audio and video in tons of different formats, runs emulators...

@dkrocks i have the phat, nes emulation is perfect, the snes emulation isnt slow but the compatabilty is limited and some games sprites are missing, but alot of games are playable. genesis emulation is good, cept for sound, and most other sega stuff runs very good. gameboy emulation is flawless.

eh, everytime i see this or the Dingoo i wonder why people dont pick up and mod a psp slim 2000 instead almost the same price, better emulators, and better build quality and possibly battery life because my modded psp lasts up to 8 hours on battery if i dont have the brightness all the way up and i made my own pandora battery

Im not sure either I feel like the wiz would be more reliable because the dingoo sounds like it has too many problems and the models arent the same anymore they are being produced using cheaper parts than the original which makes them freeze more and stuff. This is a but more expensive but it looks like it will last me much longer than a dingoo

yeah tbh dingoos are not that good, on mine the buttons after about a couple of weeks went bad (jams not responding on time) and the D pad is not good at all way to slippery

yeah I re picked up my dingoo and man is it worn, it more worn out then my 9 year old GBA some kid I know has a wiz and you wil most likely like it a lot more, the buttons are better quality and the emulation is a LOT better (and also I dont think the screen scratches as easily) and there is overall more systems in it.
