not accurate on americans. he's polite and aware of Canada. and don't say its stereotyping because its a fact that americans have zilch about anything to do with Canada in their education system
@MrAzdaz the accuracy comes from the fact that he wasn't played by an American at all, rather a stupid and clueless Canadian. He's had his whole life to relate. That's why the "stupid and clueless" thing comes so natural.
The accent definitely fits the midwest and so does the speech pattern. Some of the nuances are a bit off but it seems fine to me. "Bi-ling-u-al" was the only thing that really stood out to me.
the chicken came first. you cant have an egg without a chicken and you need a chicken to sit on the egg. Also when the world was created God didnt create eggs he created accual animals
Mark Mckinney is Canadian, but he lives in New York. I am from Wisconsin and I thought he did our accent well. Actually everybody on this show uses basically the same accent Wisconsin uses.
i wonder if it's just me, but do you recall the waltons? the narrator for John-Boy? Earl Hamner Jr. anyway, a lot of times i think i hear his pronunciation esp. in words with ou and ow. oa. etc. lingo is fun huh?
and no honestly americans dont really care about canadian history, we dont learn it in school, maybe in college but not really, Canada didnt play a big roll in american history like the French, English, Mexican, Russians, or even Cubans
Actually Canada played a huge role in American history. Especially during the war of 1812 when the U.S. tried to invade Canada and got beaten back. There is also the Whole St. Lawrence Seaway agreement and the Underground Railroad smuggling slaves from the South to Canada for freedom. Don't forget Americans going to Canada to Avoid the draft and the Canadian Embassy in Iran helping Americans escape capture in 1979. Oh by the way all of this is covered in U.S. history classes. I am American!
ummm...the war of 1812 is not even spoken about..canada has been neighnours with the US since the biggining and even mexico has more history then with canada the treaty of guadalupe that gave half of mexico to the US the lousiana purchase from 1803...828,800 square miles sold to US from France War of independence from the Brits even Japan and Pearl Harbor!...even the small country Vietnam! lol!! Canada is about .9% of Americans history
Only 9%? Well no offense but maybe that's just where your from. I'm from Montana and we did study the War of 1812 and discussed Canada's role in the war and the U.S.'s attempts to battle British and Canadian troops in numerous campaigns of 1812 and 1813 only to be turned back time and time again before gaining victories. Go back farther to the revolution where slaves fought for the British and were settled in Nova Scotia and Ontario after the war, Also there's the Treaty of Oregon in 1846.
@CornerGasSeason2 no he didn't .. his first line is his first mistake "Excuse me, I was wondering if I'm at the (raight) place". Americans don't say "right" the same way Canadians do. :)
uh....he does. Especially one from Wisconsin. I'm not quite sure where you're from in the States, but he'd fit in pretty well anywhere in the midwest.
And let's not forget the Acadians resettling in the US from Canada, primarily Louisiana.

yeah...not everyone agrees with Genesis. I'm not saying its wrong, BUT looking at it from an evolutionary point, the egg came first.
