Yeah, in the 60s, there wasn't an automatic transmission like today, there were operators, who switched you to your wished telephone number. So he had to say "Get me Glasgow".
Ha Ha Ha!!! Hee hee hee!!! ha ha hee hee!!! ...ahhhhhhhhhhh!!! Sorry. I'm okay now. Mr. Sellers always caused me to CRACK-UP! All he had to do is look at me and and I would just lose it!!! There were not too many actors/comedians that could do that!!! He was a ONE -Of-A-KIND! We miss him!!! THANKS for the Commercials!!! It brings back great times and memories! Praise GOD!
Actually, with all due respect to Chuck McCann (another brilliant character actor -- check him out in "The Projectionist") I don't think that's him. I suspect it's the guy who was in the short-lived US version of "Porridge", called "On the Rocks" -- Rick Hurst?

My mom was a TWA stewardess and we had tons of those red shoulder bags around the house when I was growing up.

@thebigsee I love those bags to death. Now most reproductions are obscenely expensive.

The travel agent is Chuck McCann, who would later play Oliver Hardy in TV commercials for ANCO Wiper Blades.

Well, as the bumper sticker says "I thought I was wrong once. . .but I was mistaken." Blame it on the ravages of age. :)
