Actually, there is a supreme court ruling -- the Pruneyard Decision -- that covers these situations. If they bus organizers did not first contact the mall operators, they operator can do what they did. And the operator can set rules and regulations for allowing them on the property. What they cannot do is prevent a bus from parking on the public street next to the mall.
The police ticketed truck drivers for honking. Hopefully someday police officers and their supevisors will be held accountable for frivoluos ticket writing. They need to be fined for this. The fines should cover the cost involved with defending a ticket.
You have to admire the after the fact spin of the property owners - "We were doing it to protect the children." Did Karl Rove give them that one? LOL.
Yepper, we must give credit where it's due. BushCo has given us a look at just how compassionate it is to "we the people." We are now in a police state. Our rights and liberties have been sacrificed for security but who feels secure now except the neo-con elites? We are being systematically driven into a weak status: no rights, no jobs, no money to pay increasing bills. This is the New World Order, a preview.
How many people send their senators & reps messages no bail out. They listened to us, all right, instead of the $700 bn bailout, they voted for an $800 bn bailout. Some much for our congress, revolution sounds good right now.
They operate a day care center, spare us all. I see all those crazy-eyed Obama supporters. Biden did a great job last night. CBS says 98% of the people were impressed up from 79%. Palin is a witch.
