I actually saw TESTCARD E! I was working in a T.V. repair workshop at the time and in my mid-twenties. It looked awful!! Good job it was promptly taken off. Sales would have plummeted!!. BOXDOCTOR
this test card was withdrawn after a short time due to technical problems and replaced by a modified version of Test Card C, which lasted til July 1969

MrBrownberry is spot on ... finding a person that saw Test Card E radiating live is about as rare as hen's teeth!
Nonetheless we can imagine that this was what that "rare" preson saw and heard on April 20th 1964!

this is the wrong testcard it should be bbc2's c this was only used for one day and withdrawn
