Those waterside apartments might be cheap (for the developer) but low-cost they certainly aren't. And who makes the decisions? Why, the developers, of course - who else?
Cabot Circus: an outrageous example of public space being taken away and handed over to private interests. It's patrolled by private security, and you are left in no doubt that they are watching you, and they decide what your behaviour should be, not the law.

Bristol - my favourite Uk city. But yes, like other places, there is some vile architecture.
