My grandma HATES my dreads. She wants me to get rid of them but that's not happening she thinks that dreads are disgusting that there dirty and smelly and have funk in them. But my dreads aren't dirty, smelly, or have funk in them so i proved her wrong with every thing she says.
My pops has some old school Rick James braides, but he always give me shit bout my dreads. Go figure. I told him, " at least this is my real hair"! I like to make horse noises when he starts in. LOL!
I got mine in July as well! Well last week actually. I love people with personalities like yours! And my grandma didn't exactly know what my hair was either. "What on earth are you wearing?" "Grandma this is my hair now..." "Oh my when are you gunna quit styling it like that?" "6.. 7 years." "O.o"
My greatgrandpa understood full well what my dreads where but his wife on the other hand had no clue. She thought i had cout my afro off, and gotten a wig she tried to pull it off once. It hurt... She finally understands they're attached.
We do have a "Hip" Familly lol but the only thing was that my grandmother never wanted me to get any tattoos. I miss her very much. Say hello to Matante Jaquline for me!! Love you xoxo
Girl, that is the best time to do a video (when you're by yourself) You be more creative and don't have to watch what you say. lol, Is that your cat making that noise?I can amagine your grandmom lol.
I had to exlpain my locks before I even started them to my co workers to make the progress easier for them. It was awkward but it worked out really well because they comment now on how nice they are coming along and some of the misconceptions they had about locks are pretty much nil now.
LOL you make me giggle! Its always fun trying to explain how dreads work, to people who have no idea.
