  • Thank you for the response. Interesting that you say get had trouble with pipes in Illinois humidity. I live in Indiana and will be facing the same problem. I thought dayes pipes were designed to be played in any environment. Interesting.

  • Yes it is a half set. My husband ended up selling his to someone in Florida. We live in Central Illinois and the climate just would not cooperate with the pipes. They need an even humidity and that just does not happen here. He fought with them endlessly to try to get them to play but it just didn't happen. He was very happy with the pipes and thought the were awesome, just not for here. If you would like to ask my husband questions, I can give you an e-mail address.

  • Thinking of getting a David Daye set. Is the set he is playing a half set? I can't tell how many drones he has.

  • Hey Joe, I've had a practice set for over a year now and I don't sound as good as you. Keep up the practise!

  • It's called Greensleeves

  • The 2nd half Sounds good. What is the name of this Christmas song?

  • Absolutely gorgeous rendition!!!!

  • That looks like a chanter by david daye, and the drones look like they are made by him too. Am i correct?

  • yes they are by david daye. Joe is playing much better since this video. He loves the pipes. Do you play david daye pipes?

  • I just bought myself a David Daye chanter. They sound great for being so cheap :).

  • Great start! A bit iffy on the intonation in ome spots, but that'll come with time. Keep at it!
