I was mistaken, sorry. You are correct, this is a Russian anthem. This was the Russian anthem from 1990 - 2000, called "Patrioticheskaya Pesnya". It's not the current anthem though, or the anthem from before 1990 (the more famous Russian anthem). Sorry about my mistake! :)

I always thought this anthem sounded like the Canadian one. I wonder if you could exchange the words. XD (It was possible to exchange the words of Germany's anthem with that of East Germany, because the rhythm was similar, but the melodies sounded nothing alike.)
