Vid quality may be alright, but you can't assume the audio does the live performance justice. I saw the Cincinnati show last week, loved it, and thought this cover was great. I wouldn't know if it was chord for chord correct, nor if the melody is off, but it's possible those shifts are intentional if so. Regardless, the emotion of the song was right on for the set and it gripped me. I love Redding's original, but I bet Otis would be glad to know a new generation is appreciating.

So assuming you havent seen them live I don't think it's right to judge off a c.d or a video the quality is shit. BIG PINK ARE FUCKING AMAZING!

Okay they may be a good band overall, but I am judging this performance and this alone. Nothing wrong with the video quality. No one has said 'this is a real good cover'! Because it isn't. The Chords ARE wrong and so is the melody in parts. My opinion. I stumbled upon this while looking for the original.Go listen to that and then tell me they do this great song justice. And U don't need to see a band live to have an opinion. Do u think everyone that loves/hates the beatles has seen them live?

I've seen them live twice now (suporting Muse both times) and I still think they're shit. They suck, pure and simple. The frontman comes off as supremely arrogant, the performances are lacklustre, and the frontman (again) overused his tremolo arm at the beginning of EVERY song. It wasn't even cool the first time. I respect your right to form your own opinion, but mine is that The Big Pink are truly awful. Just sayin'.

Sorry, but I disagree there, too. I tried to like their first album - I love Muse with a passion, and if they consider The Big Pink worth touring with, then I figured maybe there'd be something worth listening out for. But, there wasn't. At all. Somehow, they even seem to come off as arrogant through a CD. The lyrics are trite, generic, and badly sung, and the instrumentals are basic and flat. And still, I can't forget just how poorly they performed live - twice.
