  • rolla mo. is very racist, the law enforcement there have no records of hate crimes because they wont take them.you'll have to contact the naacp or other orgs. for help

  • Rolla is about 1.5 hours away from STL.

  • grew up a few miles from rolla, and its not so bad, except for all the meth heads and imbreds who come in from all the small surrounding towns, and there isnt much there, and it is rawl uh people drive me insane when they say roll a ugh

  • never been there, doesn't look like I wanna go. I like watching driving tours on youtube.

  • i used to live in Rolla MO moved there from Northern California, and IT SUCKED BALLS IN ROLLA MO..MY NEIGHBOR USED TO BURN TIRES AND PIPES..ITS GROSS THERE

  • i live in rolla

  • its Ro-lla

  • i used to live in Rolla until we moved to Ca dammit

  • It's exactly the kind of place you want to drive right through and NOT stop!

  • Rolla is pronounced "Rawl-uh" not "Roll-uh". The O is short.

  • I LIVE IN ROLLA!!!

  • Quig! Is that you? How are you? Where are you?

Stlgng (from aol bf room 2004)

  • I live there, as well... and did you say one hour 'till the Mississippi? I think it's a bit longer, unless you're speeding. It's over 100 miles away!

  • It was a big surprise watching this video!! It was like going back on time... I'm from Brazil and lived in Rolla, between 1974 and 1976. Went to High School there. This highway just pass near by the house I lived in!! Fantastic!!

  • If you get off at one of the exits in this video (US 63) and go south about 1.5 hour, then you'll hit Cabool, which was named after Kabul, Afghanistan, but, like Rolla, the founders couldn't spell.

  • I live there

  • Rolla's name is a corruption of Raleigh, and the first syllable is pronounced identically, though the second is "southernized." RAH-luh.

  • Just a few comments

    1. When you asked the question about how the name is pronounced, you said it right first, then wrong (and wrong throughout the video. The "O" in Rolla is short, not long.

    2. I you make it from Rolla to the Mississippi River in one hour, you are averaging about 90 miles per hour!

I grew up in that area and my son attends the University of Missouri-Rolla (which was just renamed Missouri University of Science and Technology).

I've driven that road many many times!
