I'm thinking about playing this piece for the exams in Tampa...I don't know...I've already played Kuhlau quite a few times; Sonatinas are not my favorite things in the world.
Great job, though. It did seem too fast. It's okay, though, sometimes I like to show of too. ;D
i have been playing for 8 years and i played that piece when i was like six. all i have to say is that it was good but WAAAAAAY to fast. slow down a bit so you can get better dynamics
I'm 13 and this easy. My teacher, (who plays for the Milwaukee symphony orchestra), Progresses slowly. This took my 2 weeks to learn, but I usually have 6 or 7 things a week. When I get to certain things, they are easy because she UPS the level very incrementaly. Nothing I get to is ever "Hard". She says I am a very fast learner. I always feel like I am behind, But I'm really not because I learn so much repertoire. Many teachers give kids "hard" stuff so quickly after they start, that
This is like a grade 6 standard peice that I'm learning at the moment. It's easy to learn. Hard to play sort of peice. He is playing it very well but too fast so he probably couldn't get all the dynamics in.
I must admit the way this boy plays is amazing!! Oo
But for having practiced this sonatina, I can tell he's playing it far too fast! It is supposed to be "Allegro"... I bet he plays this fast just to show off!
Anyway, playing it this way isn't a good choice in my opinion : it sounds great at first, but it becomes quickly irritating and above all it spoils the melody (especially in part 2!)...
But again, he sure is a genius, and I sure am jealous of his talent :p
Playing this 4 a exam.....I'll neverbe as amazing as that guy :(
