What song is he covering then? Everyone keeps saying that it's a cover but not one person has said what song it is that he's covered. It does sound a bit like Comptine d'un autre été, but it's not exactly the same. It's only a cover if the 2 songs are the same. This song may have been inspired by Yann Tiersen but it's still an original composition and you're all accusing him of stealing =/

Yea, I thought it sounded familiar. He may have done a variation of it in the middle there but still, it's not an original composition. Ben, you are a wonderful player but stay true to what's yours and what you are simply embellishing on from existing repertoire.

Everyone. You are listening to a rip off from Schubert's Impromptu in A flat major. The first 30 seconds are from that piece, the same exact passage. Nice try tho.

@Martel211996 The beginning sounds similar because it goes descends in a similar way as Schubert's Impromptu in A flat major, but I disagree about the "rip off" part. To me it sounds like the theme starting at 0:55 is the most important part of the piece, not the similar-sounding intro. Although the first thirty seconds do sound very similar. Someday though this kid will become more famous than I could ever dream to be.

@driftx2 When he goes up he goes up according to the chromatic scale, meaning that u play every half note (semi tone).
