  • I love your Vid!! I'm filming a tv show, Shoestring Bling, I get my bling on a shoestring and so can you. I take everyone on thrift store shopping tours and show them how to live a Versace life of a Salvation Army budget. Looking for all kinds of input and tips! Come out and play with us, subscribe to mine SHELLEYFUNNY19 and I'll subscribe to yours. Contact us be on the show, when we get to your town!

  • How or better still, why do people get such a rush putting on other people's clothes, hand-me-downs, instead of taking on the real dream available to anyone who wants it and buying what it is they choose? Just because the trading time for dollars system is broke, does not mean there are not other, legal, and lucrative systems available to keep the dream alive. Change is inevitable, but change starting with self is worthy of applause.

  • I just realized this show used to be a lot more fun than it has been recently. It's gotten a bit boring these days. This episode is awesome:D

  • I think Corrine can make any clothes look great :]

  • @InsaneRema I was JUST thinking the EXACT same thing :3

  • British equivalant is the Church shops...Salvation Army, St Vincents...or any second hand shops.

Try the markets too...you have some great second hand markets and stalls

  • DIY=Do It Yourself

  • can some1 plz tell me watz DIY?

  • It stands for Do It Yourself

    seriously

  • im british does anyone know if there is a british equivilant of a thrift store

  • im pretty sure hun..just look up something like used clothing store or something

  • i guess we'd call them charity shops, though i've never seen anything near as big as that goodwill store they showed! try oxfam/ cancer research/ help the aged etc.

  • wow, 100% of profits!

  • the clothes were made in a sweatshop in the first place. anyway. the t shirt is AWFUL

  • yeah but you're recycling, so there is no need for MORE sweat shopping.

just re-use and re-use your clothes.

i suggest, that when people die, they donate ALL of their clothes (except those with sentimental value) to goodwill and thrift stores.

    includin your DIY clothes.

  • That's fair enough but how long do you expect the poor quality of sweat shop clothes to be recyled for? the reason people throw them away is because they lose shape, fall apart etc. i guess reconstruction helps (which is what i do) but it doesn't make much of a difference in the larger scale of things. I don't think anyone would want my crap when i die, and vice versa. x

  • oh yeah i do agree, but this will reduce how much more clothes we make. sometimes, like at thrift stores, stuff still feel like new.

it would greatly reduce how much moreclothes is made...i mean to say that we're going to recycle and NO new clothes are going to be made is insane...i mean, you have to think quality, and how the fashio industry, and etc.

but it wouldnt hurt if people made, decorated, their clothes or bought from the thrift a little bit more.

  • Yes. Somebody out there would want your old clothes. One person can make a whole lot of difference.

  • Haha that would be awesome if you did it to the back of a "nice" dress shirt, and had a suit jacket over it, and went to some big meeting, and then right as you walk out the door, off with the coat and BAM! JIMI HENDRIX!!!! W00T!!!

  • roflmao 10 shots of bleech gotta love it... BTW I'm not sure I liked how you redid the hendrix tee... Love the idea though thanks :D
