The timeline DOES matter... so there are bits of seperate stories in each game, but somehow ALL those stories are frikin attached...

(this doesn't go in order or has all the characters) there were the Belmonts (major in this game series) and when Barlowe says in OoE "There was once a family that were very powerful and always fighting against Dracula and his minions with a powerful weapon, but they and the weapon are lost forever" or something like that, that meant that the history of the timeline still aren't all just seperate stories. More like little seperate plots to piece together an ancient, yet powerful story...

If you mean the whip, then no. If you mean the song, then yes. It sounds like the 8-bit version, although people who played the original Castlevania for the NES can tell it's a bit different. (get it by going to the top-left corner of Ecclesia, across from the door to Barlowe's chamber, and crouching under the platform above the top-left floor.)

More than likely, after Johnathan learned about how his father had his lifespan shortened, he sought out the present day Belmont and bestowed it upon him once again. I'd love to see the Demon Castle Wars become a game and maybe explain that hole in the later 20th century

Well, that hole dissappears in 1999, so maybe, since the original idea was every 100 years (rather than whenever Konami wants a sequel), nothing Dracula-related was going on.

Castlevania was one game I didn't give up from my childhood (happens to be my favorite console gaming series of all time), so I know a fair bit about it, plus in a tabletop RP I play once a week, I play as a Belmont, heh
