I've said it on another clip and I'll say it again... If Quicksilver Messenger Service, Arthur Lee's Love and Country Joe and the Fish somehow came back to us as a single small and unknown band led by a beautifully mysterious woman, they would sound exactly like this. As someone who lived though that era, this gives me goosebumps. The album is a true masterpiece. A little rip in heaven through which you should try to ascend. Close your eyes... welcome to Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley, 1967.
