  • Most guys don't have the discipline you do. If your current body is your goal then keep at it. P90x is not going to get you any bigger though... all those guys in his videos... do you think they got that way without lifting weights? Don't kid yourself.

  • @Flameb97films lol thats not weightlifting. I have seen it. Tony came to my base a few months back. They wanted volunteers to do a session with him. Myself (I'm a PT leader) and a few other guys I know (who are currently training for spec ops) got turned down. Not by our people. By his.

He only allowed a FEW military members (who are fat lazy fucks that deserve to get kicked out and a few of them actually are) to work with him so his program would actually look like it does something. The rest was compiled of civilian families of military members. ie the housewives and a couple of high school kids. his program is shit.

  • @KrisWiggly I would have to say that most likely compared to the spec ops training, it IS shit. lol. Most people could not take that training; so look at it this way. If you're trying to sell a product, why sell something that no one can succeed at? So, it kind of has to be dumbed down a bit, but it still has brought plenty of people results and a positive change in lifestyle.

    I agree though, if you're on a real weight lifting schedule you will not get the same results.

  • @jbenn88 (continued) But that's a given based on the type of training it is. It's circuit training, designed to burn fat and be lean. Whereas the majority of weight lifting is based on weight, which has the ability to bulk you up. I lifted a lot more when I played baseball in college, 2 hours lifting, 1 hour running, 2 hours practice after that and I was in great shape. But if you don't keep up that pace, that bulk turns to fat. IMO, leaner is better.

I was just saying that if he thought his body was going to change from sticking to the exact same program (a beginner's program) then he should look into a more diverse physical education program. I prefer the athletic lean look too btw, much more healthy and functional than a block of muscles haha.

  • @KrisWiggly you are entitled to your opinion, but i still think the program is great, ya sure you should go to the gym and get a lot more physical fit, but some people dont have the time/money to go to the gym 3-5 times a week. P90x is great for people doing a home workout

I can appreciate your dedication and determination, but 20 lbs of muscle in two years is not a good thing. If you took your dedication to the gym and did real weight training you would be a swimsuit model bro.

  • @MoNsTaSniPeZz I do feel it in my abs once I get halfway through it and it starts getting tough but some of them really do hurt my lower back. I don't use a mat at the moment, I put a duvet on the floor and used that as you don't have to move much like yoga.

  • @southboyzlondon its a workout video, it has like 13 CDS. each CD is an different workout. It gives you a schedule for when to do the workouts. Ab ripper x is for after workouts. 12 CDS are an hour long ab ripper x is 18 minutes. hope that helps :)

  • @Fmarino241 yeah dont worry about it. same to me. its core workouts if u watch the full video(the dvd) he says that u will feel it in ur thigs too. there core workouts not just abs thats whats so good about it

  • @Fmarino241 you are not doing them right if you cant feel it in your abs and you will feel it in your thighs a lot too. Improve your form when you do it and dont go fast because it works your muscles more when you go slow.

  • @Fmarino241 You will for the first 3/4 but for the rest it's mostly abs. You should focus on using just your abs for the workouts when you have your hands on the floor, don't push with any other muscles... you should feel it then.

  • @spladdlemaster Yes, it's great for people of all Ab Strengths. If you believe this is too easy (as it is for me) it's easily modifiable which is why anyone can use it. Do cross leg sit ups, do faster bicycles, use medicine balls when possible (can make extremely hard!), on mason twists straightening your legs and using a medicine ball (going slower of course) makes for a crazy intense workout.

  • I've tried this exercise several times and its not for me, its too difficult for me to do those moves consistently..my legs get destroyed and on the moves were we have to lift up off the ground I can't do it. I'm not completely out of shape but this is definitely easier for a skinny person. I need some beginner ones.

    Skinny people don't have anything to build the muscle from. If you're "fat", of course it's hard to get a six pack like that, because of all the bad fats in your body.

    You just gotta eat wealthy and train often.

    And once again; Skinny people don't achieve muscles as 'easy' as bigger people.

I only weigh 105 lbs and am very underweight which is what I have been told by my doctor. Will i get results faster because I'm so skinny?...

  • @strykarr yea it's bad to do it every day, it doesn't give your muscles enough time to recover and grow so actually if you do it every day it'll take months before you even notice it getting any easier..they reccomend you do it 3 times a week but i've found once a week has given me the best results, i do it on its own day, could barely do the first 3 things before without taking a break now i get through the whole thing without stopping.

    Yes, AB Ripper X is done 3 times a week usually after a main weight workout like Chest & Back, Shoulders and arms, Back and Biceps, Legs and Back, etc. When you have P90X after you do one of those workouts AB Ripper X automatically comes on once you finish the workout so you know to do it.
