I might as well post my own original comments as well: I LOVED Norton's suplex (the look to it) but it sucked that you had to grab an opponent from behind to get it.
Norton is the same character from rival turf/rushing beat right? the best part for Norton is his quick punches and then doing his special multi-punch to finish it off
'Yeah: they just changed his name and a buncha his attacks. In Rushing Beat Syura (part 3), they even took away his shoulder throw and gave him a wind-up punch for a grab!
Jaleco did a great job for sequal to rivalturf. It has great graphics, sound and music is fantastic!
This game has that special arcade feeling.
One badass move is to stand still on top of a knocked down guy and press punch once. For example the character Wendy will do a backwardflip and land hard with her feet.
This game was deeper than Rival Turf but the characters were MUCH smaller, I thought. I like both games okay but this game had hidden moves, AND, a poster just recently, RANDOMLY mentioned a way to do more attacks that I NEVER knew were possible (NOBODY knew, I thought!).
I freakin love this game... i've rented it from a local videostore 3 times for a whole week... 12 years later i still like to play this game! Great music tracks!
You mean the guy in red, right? It's weird, but I think he's supposed to be a cop or fire marshall. His uniform color NEVER really made much sense: if you picked him in Rival Turf, for instance, but as player 2 of a 2-player game, his outfit was BLUE!
I have that code in my old Nintendo Power mag. But it claims to only be a title change code. I remember the japanese title screen being way more impressive than the lacking american "brawl brthers" fonts. :(
'ACTUALLY, the code changes the 1st and 3rd levels so you don't have to worry about getting lost like you're in a maze anymore (the levels are straight-forward). I would expect the Japanese version to be harder, but perhaps the Japanese version had a code to play the U.S. version also?
'OH: I'm glad to help :) but I'm clearly not the expert cos some of these guys know EVERYthing lol. Someone said there isn't a way to do Norton's fireball like his clone but even if this is fact, I like his diving punch better anyhoo :P I wanna try to use it against multiple enemies (not just 1-on-1 against bosses).
You mean the clones were cooler? I thought so for Norton, but I JUST recently found out that Norton has all the moves of his clone (just like w/ Bild!).
'Oh: he can only do the uppercut and the flaming leap punch thing that his clone can do. I didn't care about the fireball anyway :D BildSlash discovered the command for the leap punch and that move's the coolest, I think!
'Oh. I just meant that guy online who uploaded the diving punch command for Norton, cos he calls himself BildSlash, and I'm guessing that's cos he also thought Bild was the coolest character until now...heeheehee. I LOVE Norton's leap punch.

they should have stuck to the japanese name because Jack Flak sounds like AFLAC!!

You mean the duck? haha

As far I can recall
jump + punch = fireball punch
Standing on top of a knocked down (not half up) enemy press punch once = elbow crunch
each character has individual moves
You can jump kick endlessly on an enemy against the wall after he died and bumped once going slightly mid-air.

I bought this game from a local game store for the sega. It was good but no where near as cool looking as rival turf.

This game is better online with 2 players. The boss versions were so cool.. we got the weak versions. -_-

How can you play a snes game online..-_-'
Renrussian 3 years ago
You know about emulators, right? I have an oldass computer so I just find walk-in stores or buy the games online when I don't have a choice :P

Except Norton cannot do a fireball on a player side.
