@SuperLuckydream Thank you very much. Yes, she was one of those charming entertainers that you just have to love. She exuded good will and charm. She was always eternally grateful to her audience for giving her a life as an entertainer. She invested a great deal of time and energy entertaining troops, through the first and into the second World Wars. In fact, she died one day after entertaining troops in WWII. Thank you very much for the comment.
Wonderful, brought back many memories of these songs being played on the piano, at home , when I was a youngster, remember a photo of Florrie on the music book cover. This was real class, a true entertainer. Bless you for posting.
@ZXC5000 You are so right! Class is the word. What shines thorugh with Florrie is an absolutely first rate personality. A good hearted woman, born to entertain. Which she did, till the day of her death, entertaining troops.
One thing I spotted in this in the audience shot is that a lot of the men have their hats on including bowler type hats near the middle rows. Given the lack of elevation towards the back of the hall I am astonished that this was not banned as inconsiderate to those sitting behind (let alone bad-mannered for men to wear hats indoors.)
@MaryHarper I am not sure. Consulting "My Old Dutch" at IMDB, I see that it came out in 1934, whereas the date I have on this is 1933. This video was originally posted by jozefsterkens, about 3 years ago. He took it down last year, at which time I put this one up. He has since re-posted it, and it might be a good idea to check with him. He doesn't have the information on the video itself, but he is one of the best researchers on Youtube, and may well have an answer on this.

She is the quintessential music hall queen. I can't help but sing along with every song. BTW, she was from Australia.
