  • Thank you for posting this. This video is still pretty clear and informative to this day. I forgot how much a new 5-series Bimmer cost back then. My grandfather had an '83 Century identical to that, and it was one of the slowest 4-cylinders GM ever made. The Quantum really was an outstanding car, especially the 4-wheel drive Synchro wagon; ahead of its time by 20 years. Quantums were handsome, but they also looked just like the Ceuntry; I think it's reason why they never sold like the Jetta.

  • The best car I ever owned.

  • The best car I ever owned.

  • Wenn ich meine Art hatte, wie ich Gas das Los von ihnen würde!

  • I love mine. I have a 84 Quantum Variant. 26 years old and pushing 300,000 miles and still going strong.

  • haha there not build to last... my mom had a 87 quantum gl5, only had 118,000 before it started giving out

  • that dumb lady did the late 80's ford tempo vids too, what an idiot giong from VW to ford

  • VW Quantum, based on european VW Passat was a very nice automobile. I remember mom drove one( as Passat Variant, in South Africa) for several months and she always say it was a quite reliable and comfortable vehicle. Looked pretty interesting for 80s. Even in the american front model.

  • So Great! The only problems I had were exhaust problems...pricey, too. We always used to joke that the Quantum was never shown at auto shows because no one was buying them. It's funny...they ask in this video, "What's the only German-engineered grand touring car, sold in America, that comes equipped with...and just happens to be named the VW Quantum?" Of course, there's only one.

  • wow, the quantum its a beautiful car, germany ingenery, this its the vw passat 32b, and was a luxury car, i had one in 1987, and now have one.

  • This is awesome!

    Thanks for posting!

I had 2 Quantums. One was a 1982 and 1987. They were awesome! I put close to 500,000 miles on both, and never had any issues!

Wish I could find one with low mileage!

    Thanks for posting!

    BB

  • Sadly, I don't. I used to have the original 16V Scirocco video but lost it during a move.

  • Would you also happen to have the other videos? If so, please post them.
