@TheSillmatic We have heard this before. But, actually its not although each persons body mechanics is different. If you are in the area trying attending one of our carbine courses and it think the shooting platform will make more sense to you.
@TheSillmatic I thought that prior to trying it. I took Magpul's HVWM course a few years ago, and recently attended Falcon's carbine course. I wouldn't shoot any other way. My accuracy at a high rate of fire from distance absolutely skyrocketed.

For me, I wouldn't be able to move around... or really do anything... if I was hunched that far forward. is this a magpul massada ACR adapted to fire .308 or is the ACR title just because it is also adaptible also on the magpul massada when the change the reciver to fire 7.62x39 (ak47) or 6.8 spc do they they change the barrel aswell?

I love AR-10s, but not as carbines. If you want a .308 carbine, go FAL. The DI system is just not as rugged as a piston system. (This is a DI gun, right?) However, the DI system has minimal barrel interference which lends to accuracy. The AR-10 comes into its own as a semi-auto precision rifle. It's as accurate as any bolt gun.

Take a pen, open it, hold the pen by top portion and now try to write. Are you as effective or do you need to get closer to the point of the pen for more control. Shooting is same principal.

Personal taste is correct... However, when it comes to shooting full auto or working on BSA drills, we can prove that the bore in-line or bore over technique is a much better shooting platform. Its simple physics. Now, as far as personal choice.... Chevy or Ford?
We could compare this to the SCAR MK17, but why? This system, in our opinion which is just that $.02 of S$*T, is far more superior in design, commonality of weapons manipulation, maintenance, etc.... We can take a shooter and train her/him up on a AR15 and then move right to the SOACR/AR-10 platform and have no issues. This includes malfunctions. Try clearing a bolt over on a SCAR! Oh, and if you do you will need the take down tool.

@FALCONOPSGRP a friend of mine is on the Raleigh Police department ERT in Raleigh NC, they tested the HK 416 and were very dissatisfied in the performance of the weapon system. I was told they would be switching to the Colt APC ( advanced piston carbine ). But at this point that is just the word going around. I know both rifles were tested. I on the other hand am very impressed with what I have seen from Ferfrans line of rifles, very impressed. Keep up the good work.

This shooting platform has been around since World War II if you so your home work. Competition shooters have adopted the platform simply because it allows the shooter to run the gun harder. Its not as if we watched a magpul video and said lets do it this way. Basic physics apply. However, Anson was a AI with Magpul Dynamics if that is any insight as well. We also suggest you look at some other well know instructors who have adopted this platform.
@dardan5367 the AK is known for firing no matter how they've been treated. Mud, dirt, sand etc... The M4/16 will not fire with all that crap in it, but is highly accurate.

This weapon system is Made in the USA so for the comment of you only buy American that is awesome. Then you might consider buying this weapon as well. Not sure where you heard that this weapon is not made in the USA.
The DSAS does make a notable difference no matter what system you are running be it semi auto or full auto. There is much more to the way the system is designed and the physics behind the DSAS than just Rate Reduction. That being said, we had the privilege of testing the FERFRANS SOACR next to one of the most popular systems being used today for .308 and not only here but also in Europe. That being said and not dropping names, FERFRANS shot smoother and flater.
I feel like like any modern semi-auto .308 (OBR/CM901/SCAR-H/REPR/MWS/SR25) is gonna shoot equally flat with the same huge SF brake and decent technique... and the rate reduction DSAS stuff a bit gimmicky...
on semiauto is the max firing rate still reduced or does it not affect it at all?

That break might have something to do with the diminished recoil. Throw a bird cage on that bad boy and then see if it has more pop.

i dont know man, i love my cetme .308 . its battle tested. if you run out of ammo you can use it as a club and it wont even hurt it whereas this one would break all the fancy lil picitinny rails off.

im sorry but that hand positioning is rediculous go ahead and back it up with these magpul pros idc when u see navyseal units or marines in combat they dont shoot like that and its prolly for a reason. i can just tell that this dude probably over grips and blocks his optic alot his thumb is mm away from the bottom of the scope.. the time it takes to grab the top side of the rifle after reload is slower then clutching it normally theres no doubt about it weather you like it or not folks

This shooting platform has been around since World War II if you so your home work. Competition shooters have adopted the platform simply because it allows the shooter to run the gun harder. Its not as if we watched a magpul video and said lets do it this way. Basic physics apply. However, Anson was a AI with Magpul Dynamics if that is any insight as well. We also suggest you look at some other well know instructors who have adopted this platform.

@dardan5367 the AK is known for firing no matter how they've been treated. Mud, dirt, sand etc... The M4/16 will not fire with all that crap in it, but is highly accurate.

The DSAS does make a notable difference no matter what system you are running be it semi auto or full auto. There is much more to the way the system is designed and the physics behind the DSAS than just Rate Reduction. That being said, we had the privilege of testing the FERFRANS SOACR next to one of the most popular systems being used today for .308 and not only here but also in Europe. That being said and not dropping names, FERFRANS shot smoother and flater.

I feel like like any modern semi-auto .308 (OBR/CM901/SCAR-H/REPR/MWS/SR25) is gonna shoot equally flat with the same huge SF brake and decent technique... and the rate reduction DSAS stuff a bit gimmicky...
