  • Chanson de mon enfance en 1971. thank you.

  • Rythme, paroles et message: tout y'est, même le petit beat country un peu kitsch. Finale délirante. Sans doute une de ses meilleures.

  • i like to replace yoko's name with my own name :)

  • @lennonsdoll

i hope your name is Lester. Oh Lester, Oh Lester, Oh Lester.

  • Oh Yoko is so sweet and blessed by her husband John Lennon! :-)

  • One of the catchiest songs ever written. Eff all the Yoko haters. We have no idea what went on between them, despite what we all think we know. He loved her, and that's all that mattered. If you respected John, then respect his choice. Anyway, whatever, great fucking song.

  • Yoko Ono = God

  • If yoko did break up the beatles then she's to thank for all the great music the 4 of them made as individuals

  • My mane is YOKO!!!!

  • @freyahipkin Agreed. (:

  • Este tema cerraba el disco Imagine, pero podría haber sido el primero de la cara A. Simplemente delicioso.

  • John Lennon stood up for the truth, and we should too. We all have to live and die, so the truth about life and death concerns and applies to us all. True or false? Search "TRUTH CONTEST" in Google and click the 1st result, then open The Present and read what it says to learn the Truth. Let's get serious and honest about the truth of life.

  • @StephenHardyMusic Dude, no need to judge us because we like him or his music. We are entitled to like him just as much as you are entitled to hate him. You don't have to attack us. People are just different. Lets all get along :]

  • @TheVivaciousNerd I love Lennon's music when he was with the beatles. He was my favorite Beatle. However, his generic poorly written songs about Love, peace, and that awful Imagine song are so hypocritical. He was by far the meanest Beatle and he was abusive to Yoko, but nobody is educated enough on the Beatles to know that, they just follow the crowd and buy into the "Lennon was so peaceful and loving" bullcrap.

  • Yes I love this song! So beautiful : )

  • i loved it how he was pissed when he sung this song haha watched the recording of this

  • This song was before modern people.

  • I liked the boy.

  • Maryjane374 yoko sucks

In the middle of a shave in the middle of a shave i call your name OH JOHN!!!!

My love will turn you on!

In the middle of a dream in the middle of a dream i call your name OH JOHN OH JOHN!!!!!!!

  • wonderful song.

  • delicious

  • Frei

  • qué artista

  • somoene needs to make a cover that says ohhh soso ! for me plz!

  • i dont understand what people have against Yoko Ono. She kept Johns and The Beatles music alive decades after their breakup and death. She inspired some of Johns best music and kept him inspired in general. She is one of the if not the most influential woman of the 20th century

  • @bloodthirsty958 She was one of the reasons why he left Cynthia and his son. Yes, he claimed he didn't love her anymore, but he never filed for divorce until 3 years after he just packed and left. That's what people have against her. She persuaded John that Cynthia was just useless now. So now what is Cynthia supposed to do? She has an 8 year old boy asking where is Daddy is everyday and until he was 11, he didn't get to see him. Julian had no father and it's Yoko's fault.

  • @MissBeatleBailey John Lennon wasnt a little boy he was a man and he made his own decisions. You cant blame any woman for the decisions he made, she didnt force him to do anything. she didnt force him to neglect his son or leave his wife. she was an influence for his decisions of course but the outcome of her being there was some oj johns best music, music that wouldnt exist without her presence

  • @bloodthirsty958 Yes, but as you said yourself, she was a huge influence. Just because he wasn't a little boy, it doesn't mean she couldn't of said things that would have persuaded John to leave Cynthia. Yoko did make a good turn in John's music and his future, but you also have to think of the family he ditched FOR Yoko. He didn't send them any money, didn't stop by to see his FIRST son. It's sad! They didn't deserve it. Yoko may not deserve all hatred, but she deserves some.

  • @MissBeatleBailey no noone deserves any hatred, I think John would agree with that. But blame on tthe abandonment of his family, all on John. He chose to leave them, and the only thing i hate is the fact that he didnt have the time to make up for it

  • @bloodthirsty958 Okay, you've got a point. I love John! I wish I could have met him (I'm 12) And you're right. The abandonment was all his fault, but she did play a big role in the break-up. Yes, John probably would have divorced Cynthia, but he never had to turn right to Yoko. He died so suddenly, it was John childhood forced upon Julian. John's mother left and when she came back, months later she died. It's horrible, and it left John mentally sick, Julian as well.

  • @MissBeatleBailey Quit whining about Yoko. She is the coolest fucking thing ever. Yoko had NOTHING to do with the Beatles break up.....the minute Brian died, the Beatles began their break-up.

  • @JonnyCashmore When the hell did I say that Yoko made them break up?? Read up on the comments before you start bitching to me about shit.

  • @MissBeatleBailey Quit getting so mad.....! LOL. It's just a comment. Why does everyone get so mad all the time on youtube?

  • @JonnyCashmore Okay. Look, I can't read the tone of voice you're using through YouTube. If it was a joke or whatever, TELL ME SO! That's why people get so mad. You should really start using stuff like the exclamation point or a smiley face. Or LOL. Like you could have said "Yoko blah blah blah lol ;)" Instead of Yoko blah blah blah.

  • john lennons plastic ono band album was probably the most beautiful, sad, honest music i have ever heard, and this song shows just how much he loved yoko, and is for and all about the power of love

  • I cry every time I listen to this song. So, so beautiful.

  • Oh John!

  • This song is beautiful

  • Yoko Ono = God

  • beautiful

  • One of my favourite John Lennon songs, so lovely, such a happy song, I dont care who hates on yoko, John loved her, and she made him happy, and that is all that matters to me!

  • @freyahipkin Is right man! Yoko never split up the beatles, the beatles were growing apart before yoko was on the scene. Yoko is fucking great.

  • Thanks for posting!

  • @xdigitalfreedom Your madre was a shitty fuck, but I'm not on here rubbing it in your face..

  • Who's oh Yokohama

  • great harmonica playing there

  • I love the Beatles, wish John was still with the living, but hes still with us, its that lump u get in your throat when u hear songs like this, simply beautiful!

  • i love singing this to my GF and just replace Yoko's name with her's <3

  • song of the week for me (;

    OH YOKO

  • Currently one of my favorite songs :)

"In the middle of the night i call your name...OH YOKO! :)

  • Reminds me a bit of George's Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let it Roll), but that's just me.

  • why did he have to die???

  • Una delicia. De Imagine. Tan sencillo como redondo.

  • This makes me soo happy and fills me with great love:) John and Yoko were so amazingly great for each other:')

  • @ladymadonna55 Lets remember that john was a great songwriter on his own, and that he really could have wrote this song for pretty much anyone that he loved. So any impression involving relationships between people from a song written by one person are a bit misguided.

  • @jimmymortis what a cynical response. no he was inspired by his profound love for john. it blew him open. no disrespect to Cynthia Lennon but he didn't write songs like Love, Ballad of John and (Cynthia), Don't Let Me Down, Oh My Love for Cynthia. Oh and let's not forget Woman. John even said in the Playboy Interviews that when he met Yoko he knew it was a wrap. He said that LOVE demanded his transformation and the rest of him had to catch up to his heart. his own sentiments. not mine.

  • @biggoodness John was inspired by his profound love of himself? One can't really verify motivation, or how love plays it that. But what I will say is "i love you" has got to be the most oft-used phrase in alot of the Beatles songs. He used to make a living with paper thin love songs. I merely wanted to claim that as a talented composer, he would be as capable of writing a song of equal proficiency as this song with or without yoko.

  • @jimmymortis Yawn.

  • @biggoodness Aww, shit.

  • @biggoodness The same song? The same lyrics? No, but I couldn't reproducible results for ANYTHING but a chemistry experiment for that matter. Anything dealing with people will be unique in its own right, be we can agree he made many songs.

  • que mal a las personas que no les gusta esta cancion que quizas no sea la mas elaborada pero si es de corazón ♂!M♥♥♥

  • Another Great Song From John Lennon

  • I like more John than the other Beatles but I like more the Beatles together than when they are alone.

  • long live..friend

  • I really love the rolling feel of the piano style in this song. This to me is a "white Album" quality song..........less the yoko lyrics

  • I remember hearing this song in Rushmore and didn't realize it was John until it came to the part where he sings "Oh Yoko!"

  • The thing about paul is that despite having talent, he really doesnt know how to use it anymore, not since the beatles. 95% of his solo material sucks :(

  • @Amiles666 wow, do you know what youre saying buddy?

  • @stridsmask Oh.. i'm sorry, personal opinion of course...

  • i hate hippies but this song is alright.

  • @akijanai lol why hate hippies?

  • Mark David Chapman was here 16 times :-((

  • @Kjevois mark david chapman was a huge beatles fan.. he had his double fantasy album autographed by john lennon the day he shot him...

  • There is no love greater than Lennon love. :D

  • @Quarryman99 yeah, no love like abusive hypocritical love....god you people have no idea.

  • Rule britannia

  • @cameronsp1 Right?

  • one of the sweetest love songs in popular music

  • This song is love. Something I'm so happy to feel! Thanks John and my love!

  • This is absolutely fab! How amazing their relationship must've been to write this beautiful song. Role models for the world.

    P.S - Love the harmonica!! :D

  • @Quarryman99 Lennon is such a good role model that he basically abandoned his first son. John gave the world a great gift with his music but enough about this role model crap.

  • @elricochico I'm sorry but I sticking with my first verdict that he was a role model for absolutely everyone, and an amazing one at that. I cannot even put into words how much pure admiration I have for him. I'm not saying it's a good thing that he left Julian, but he was trying to patch things together again near the end of his tragically short life. John gave the world so much in just 40 years, and I just want to thank him. For everything. :)

  • @Quarryman99 Make you right my friend.. but dont look at his private life... his song writing has brought us all to this song and many others he wrote, he wrote this for someone he loved and wrote from his heart , yet we can all find words within his songs that mean something to us all.

  • In the middle of a dream I call your name ...Oh John!

  • THIS SONG IS SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL. Yoko in this song stands for any girl a man is in love with<3

  • "When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down "happy". They told me I didn’t understand the assignment. I told them they didn’t understand life." — John Lennon

why isn't this quote at the top of the comments page any more?

  • @jjziggy1998 really you stole that from a guy who posted that on johns imagine.

  • @jjziggy1998 Maybe because Lennon never said that?

  • @jjziggy1998 There's a mistake: he wrote he wanted to be "hippy". He actually did it =D

  • true love indeed :)

  • Aw John <3

  • Thumbs up for the awesomeness that was JOHN & YOKO

  • And of course this is one of my favorites John's songs

  • The really love each other, even of all that could happened ( Lost weekend, fights or even with the beatles) they ended together, they forgive each other and live together until John's Dead. They werent perfect, they were human after all.

  • This is my gf's favorite song :))

  • Saludos desde Cd de Mexico

  • Temaso!

  • ugh, these lyrics suck

  • @drewsky684 Who cares? The lyrics are simple to show love is not complicated, it's simple, that's who i think anyway man

  • Awesome harmonica solo. :-)

  • it doesnt matterrrr if you like yoko or not. this song is really really beautiful and you can tell John really loved her.

  • @Yumyumbigtum are you SERIOUS???Its trite and actually childish. And to think that ppl LOVE to criticise McCartney for being preoccupied with writing love songs.Only difference is that HIS love songs were TRULY beautiful with lyrics that WERE meaningful."My Love" is only ONE example of many."Oh LOCO;Oh LOCO;I'd love to turn you on" ??? How profound and full of intense meaning. As for the music???3 chords that go one redundantly??LOL... SERIOUSLY now

  • @TheNucleusAlbum1968

all right dont get your nickers in a twist love. i know that paul loved linda. but you cant not say john didnt love yoko just as much.

  • @Yumyumbigtum ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... ok :)

  • This song always gives me chills. Even if you don't like Yoko, you have to admit, this is one damn beautiful song.

  • The fact that Yoko remained still single years after John Passed away proves their true love.

  • Beautiful love song If not one of the best simplest most complex love songs to this date. Long Live John

  • @hodogetsmoney Everyone seemed to criticize John for being with Yoko but I actually think she became his muse. And also in his "lost period" he created some amazing music The greatest song writer of his time if not of all time . Indeed Long live John.

  • @hodogetsmoney You contradict yourself. Wanker

  • @watcherofgoodvideos Its funny because i meant to do that, so its really not a contradiction. How old are you 12 your the wanker, Well not yet because your balls have not dropped yet...

  • @hodogetsmoney its true. my balls havent dropped. and the fact that you meant to contradict yourself makes it worse. you dont understand how irony works. wanker.

  • @watcherofgoodvideos HAHAHA Im not going to argue with a little kid. Maybe you should do your homework and eat all your dinner before you go to bed. Remember don't play with yourself of you will have hairy palms pickle sniffer

  • @hodogetsmoney the most simplest complex...I like that

  • @santanaramostarango I thought you might.

  • @hodogetsmoney so, that's to say you wrote this comment just for me? haha

  • @santanaramostarango haha but of course

  • @santanaramostarango but of course

  • @hodogetsmoney haha, nobodys liked it, waste of time mate I think you just dont understand Yoko... she's a very inspiring artist and actvist to people including me .

  • @rainyploom just teasing but really how many fans believe she split up the beatles. I dont know them personally so I cant say.

  • @hodogetsmoney look at the footage of her "invading studio sessions".The vibes are so bad you could cut them with a knife.Lennon was an idiot to impose her on things as sacred as Beatle sessions. How do you think they'd have like it if ANY of the others had done the same thing? BUT they were not pussy whipped wimps who even THOUGHT of doing such a thing.Being in love is one one.being pussy whipped by a control freak is another. And an UNHEALTHY one to say the least.

  • There are many of us who have scary wives! Many of them are great for us!

  • why Yoko after John died has new man? She never loved John as he loved her!

  • @dazdn1k your so right it was obvious for all of us to see. John had so much love obviously enough to leave the Beatles for some siren who FOOLED HIM

  • @hodogetsmoney GOOD for you and well said. YOU obviously saw the whole thing as it was REALLY was instead of some modern day romeo and juliet ( the way MOST women like to coo and swoon that it was ..which it REALLY wasn't )

  • @dazdn1k

What, you think John would have wanted her to stay alone for the rest of her life?
