What I am saying is simply this. I would not want to be before the throne knowing I profited of praise for the Lord. Look what happened at the temple when Christ tore the place up at the money lenders.

The point I am making is this, you do not use the world to preach the gospel and concerts are of the world. The gospel is its own power and it is not in a concert.

So true and agreed, unfortunately this verse resembles nothing like a concert and no one is making money or generating revenue through ticked sales. In other words, no one is profiting off of God in that verse.

It is small intimate gatherings where people are praising the Lord in song. This has no resemblance to worldly for profit concerts.

I would also have no wish or desire to go beyond what the bible teaches and no where do you see praise concerts being used as spreading the gospel.

The gospel does not need modernizing, that is EMERGENT philosophy.

i only go by the 'spirit' on a song... there is even so much christian music that's garbage out there cuz it's all the 'right words' but a wrong heart/spirit behind it. God speaks thru us, He's so powerful to even use the 'lost' for His purposes. if God is first, and obedience to the Word, we can do anything, go anywhere.

You are a lucky man. My brother was on a track like yours back in teh day. He did 12 years and found God while incarcerated. Several years later (now ), he is a youth minister of God. The Lord can change anyone if you open your heart to him

Today's "music" promotes nothing more than sin, disrespect, drugs, homosexuality & Gaga & Jay then toss in lyrics about "G-d can't save u", "i'm in love with Judas." Music has gone 2 far.
