Congratulations uchideshi I have been practicing judo and recently I have not seen a work of ne waza as fluid. Here is the true sense of the word "ju", which smooth over the strong.
where do you train at mr dean? i have much respect for your skills, abilities, and teaching style. i currently train under the camarillo style jiu jitsu system. (not by dan or dave camarillo though)
Okay where's the "LOVE" button because that needed to be pushed instead of "Like" a 100 times. Roy Dean is one of my jui jitsu heros and role models. Thank you! My Sensei says it's time for me to move into combonations at this point of my training. This video was inspiring. Thank you!
the dude flows like a frickin river. wow. and im like a rock, falling down a hill and hitting every obstacle in my way. this guy grapples like a dolphin swims.
15 Karate students disliked this video. They are just pissed that their martial art discipline sucks or one of their Black belts was embarrassed by a BJJ white belt.
working that armbar from guard man I never realized that there's so many options from there. Multiple sweeps and submissions off a failed attempt? Wicked.
I LIKE YOUR VIDEOS BECOUSE YOU GUYS DON'T USE ALL OF YOUR STRENGHT AND IT IS DONE RELAXED I LEARN SOME THINGS FROM YOUR VIDEOS THANK A LOT AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
El Jeet Kune Do y el Jiujitsu brasileño son los dos sistemas, basados en anteriores artes marciales o deportes de contacto más revolucionarios de la época contemporánea
This is a very well put together combination video as well as a superior production. Thank you for the slow angles and similar move combinations edited together. Thank you. Can't wait to put together some similar lessons and these offensive attacks by combination into some escape transitions. Excellent
I always like watching these Roy Dean videos. he displays efficient flowing technique. Great to watch. I aspire to have the same fluidity and precision in my BJJ.
In fighting and in everyday life you should be determined though calm. Meet the situation without tenseness yet not recklessly, your spirit settled yet unbiased. An elevated spirit is weak and a low spirit is weak. Do not let the enemy see your spirit.
@amozo001 why? everything looks controlled and smooth. there should be no issues for the guy in white at all. i'd be happy to be in his place - you learn a lot by feeling someone of that level working with you like that, even just by feeling how they move or hold you.
this is not rolling...he's just demonstrating different moves. dont get me wrong...professor dean is very good...but he is not rolling in this video...he is demonstrating.
This is one of my favorite videos on Youtube. Roy is so smooth -- very enjoyable watching him roll. When I try to share my enthusiasm for the elusive logical simplicity (which appears complex) of BJJ, I point them to this.
im gona start bjj soon and im really excited and nervous, for the guys who have been in the game for a while, is it worth it? cuz people that ive asked said yes it definatly is
@mrpenumpela : Definitely worth it...i've been going at it for a little over a year...it's challenging, rewarding, and fun...work hard, train hard, and enjoy..peace
Being excited and nervous is good ! Stick with it, you will get your ass kicked for a while. That's paying your dues. After a few months you will start to get things right and it's a great feeling. I've been training for 1 year now and it's the greatest Martial Art I have ever taken part in. I can't put into words how much I've actually learnt in just 1 year and I'm just beginning the journey. Just go regular and train hard and you'll do just fine. :)
I also want to say that Roy Dean's Requirements for Blue Belts Instructional is probably the best one I have seen for beginners. Highly recommended to anyone who is a white belt. This combos vid comes off that instructional. The section on Ukemi ( breakfalls ) and throws/takedowns is Gold !
Very controlled! The way it should be so you do not injure your training partner. You can see the professionalism and experience in how the subs are applied in such a precise and controlled manner, and how they flow from one to the next.
