I counted about 77 blades from the starter (not from sputtering or inertia after) - and that wasn't including the bit we missed. The last plane I saw take this much coaxing to fire was a Japanese Val (also a torpedo bomber)... Good thing these guys weren't in a hurry!
@ahallofcockatiels climb in through the door located aft of the starboard wing and climb up into the turret, it's a fun ride if you like facing backwards.
Wow! You have no idea how awesome it was to find this video... My husband and I were at the USS Yorktown yesterday and saw one of these with the wings folded up... He being Air Force, and I'm also in the military--we are pretty big plane buffs...however, we were looking at the angle of THESE wings and couldn't picture the wings actually unfolding and folding... The angle just looked different from some of the other planes. AWESOME VIDEO! Thanks so much! :)
Is it really much bigger than the P-51 or it's just a reduced size replica of Mustang in front of Avenger?
