I think you gave too little pictures of the Paleozoic Era (although the Walking With didn't do it either). Besides of that...amazing work. Love the transittion from the Cretaceous to the Cenozoic
oh man the memories, I remember watching these series when I was young my friend even had Walking with Dinosaurs on vhs, they never aied walking with monsters here though but oh well. love this triology!
This video is great! The editing was brilliant and it was fantastic to see all 3 of the "Walking with.." series together. I especially liked the bit where you showed the convergence between the dinosaurs mammals.Huge thank you and congratulations!my only criticisms are that some bits weren't chronological, and I would have liked to see the mammal-side of the dinosaur era and more of the first beasts episode. but still very good!
Also wasn't the original song video an evolution animation?
At 00:09 there should be no rock strata as it has not formed yet, i know im being picky but im so bored. Amazing vid btw, how can one not be humbled by it?
I've always been interested in prehistoric animals, especially dinosaurs. Seeing this vid containing footage of Big Al and Walking wit Dinosaurs was just great. Made me think back of the time i watched the shows.
Unless dinosaurs start posting comments on my video - on computers that they themselves invented - then I'd say yeah, we're kind of in the lead at the moment. Don't think they won't try and make a comeback, though! They're crafty like that.
@AustralianFalcon that is what I am about ..who think that history will not hunt us and take back what is theirs long time ago..they are in bad dreams..I'll not be surprised if some crazy scientist didn't already tried to clone some of them...Only God knows what we have on hidden Islands around the Earth !!
wow man! thank you so much for taking the time to make and share this video! i think its important to know what came before us so that we can expand our perspective, and see where we fit in to this crazy planet!
a great video, really well made and thought out, love it! top notch!
Unbelievable job on this video. Congratulations! Shows why the BBC productions are the only game in town when it comes to recreating past eras of earth.Anybody interested should start with the "Walking With" series, (and anything else by the BBC).
It was actually that very segment that inspired the making of the video in the first place; beginning with the meteor, and finishing with that transition I'm glad you liked so much, at that very specific moment of the song. Happy to hear it turned out well enough!
i remember when i was about 5 they announced walking with dinosaurs and i thought it was great, i remember some of the early trailers and an episode. it really opened my eyes to what life was like millions of years ago thank you bbc for the greatest tv show of all time
I wouldn't be half the person I am today without "Walking With". It opened my eyes to the immense beauty this planet is capable of and led me to question all that religious mumbo-jumbo that gets shoved down our throats as children.
Well done sir for making this fitting tribute to a legendary production!!!
Thank you very much, Celt! I feel the same way about the series; it's a marvellously well-done and well-put-together program, even if it is getting a touch dated by now. Most of it is still relevant and informed, however, so it's clearly a must-watch for people the world over who are interested in knowing, definitively, what came before us. ^_^
I love this video! I absolutly love these series,my favorite being allosaurus. That song "Right Here, Right Now" suits it perfectly! I've seen your other allosaurus videos, there awsome!
excellent excpeto for one thing, tiny space to the walking with beasts and walking with monsters, also almost nothing of walking with men, or somethig like that
Well, I was trying to cover about six-hundred and thirty million years in the video, overall; Mr. Rex was only around for about three million.
He just doesn't have the longevity needed to fill a bigger slot! ^^
Well, that, and I'll admit I've grown somewhat 'T-Rex-Weary' over the years; every dinosaur doco and their grandmas have decided to present their take on the Big T, and I really feel like it's getting a little old.
hey man did someone steal this vid from u because i stumbled across this exact vid but with a diffrent utube account and he or she is taking all the credit so did u no i'm just curious and let me tell u it's not me i just fav vids i like mostly kingdom hearts vids.

@AustralianFalcon Video was fantastric and T-rex hadn't thrived as long in comparison to what other prehsitoric life forms had. so you made no mistake falcon, fabulous video :) 5*
And yeah...hehe, well, T-Rex also always gets more air time than everyone else, whether it's from documentaries to plain old Jurassic Park. I wanted to be a little different and special, what can I say? : P
He's had his time in the sun. Shove over, Tyrant Lizard; it's the mighty Othnielia's turn now! >:O
@AustralianFalcon Aaaah, haha awesome :) and to be fair he has really had too much fame now, I'd like their to be a rise for Giganotosaurus one day :)
My favourite therapod, :) and i've just ordered this trilogy on DVD, can't wait to watch it! :)
I'm not so sure I deserve that distinctive honour, but I'll thank you for the considerable praise, for sure! Judging by your nametag there, I think you're more interested than most in a certain brand of videos anyway though, hm? ; )
Hah, thank you! Before it was made, I was hoping to be able to manage fitting the clips with the music as the inspiration came, and it's always nice to hear that it turned out just about right! :D
Some of the biggest, if I recall; Argentinosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Andesaurus, and others I can't think of off the top of my head. Patagonia is most definitely one of -the- places to go if you want to see dinosaurs, that is for sure. ^_^
And there is another...Amphicoelias Fragillimus. Only the poorest fragmentary fossil evidence discovered, and even those are either lost or deliberately discarded. This my favourite Dinosaur, may well have been the largest ever - estimated from the sheer size of the single vertebrae discovered, to be over 60 Metres long (200 feet) By comparison, most of the large Titanosaurs of South America and Asia, reached between 30 and 40 Metres. It could have been over 200 tonnes of Diplodocidae Sauropod.
Hah, you noticed that, did you? Yeah, the original video is timed pretty much to perfection, but the upload to Youtube threw it off by the tiniest margin. Fun stuff, to be sure. :P
Regardless though, thanks for the compliments! ^_^
Also; yes, yes they are. Glad they're finally out of office; the planet couldn't take another four years of them.
The Librasauraus is now the most desperate being on the planet.
This near fossil cant manage his life without Rx meds, Govt management, free money, as his inability to understand business the process of money and spending shrink his gene pool.
Eons of publikkk skkkool evolution has left this dumb creature on the verge of extinction, shrinking his brain & survival skills in the competitive real world. Taking to Racial interbreeding due to his small brain, he has left his genetic pool endangered.
then maybe a deer with unusually thick skin will grow to be highly successful and raise young with thick skin which would be so thick that they will be immune to gunshots, then foxes will grow a bite more powerful then a gun bullet and then pigs will not be able to defend themselves and that means, no more bacon!!!!!!! :-(
It's not that bad. It's just been WAY overused since its release. I mean, good god the song is on just about everything now. Most of it doesn't even make sense to be using the song.
No, dude, it really is. Consider how many types of music there are to choose from. Then consider how often someone chooses to use a typical modern rock song from their local rock station.
There is NO reason to set a video tribute to hadrosaurs to death metal.
It's from 'Allosaurus - A Walking With Dinosaurs Special'. A bit of an extra add-on to the rest of the 'Walking With Dinosaurs' series about - you guessed it - Allosaurus, and Big Al in particular. :)
after watching the series like I felt life on earth has gone through so much evolution for such a long time, we human evolution so far is just a very very tiny slice of time.. God knows what other bizarre life forms will evolve over the long stretch of future ahead of us..
also we see that mother nature has crafted this wonderful journey of the life through evolution, it feels nothing stands in front of the power of nature!
this music video made me feel kinda sad when you realize how much life has been on the planet before homo sapiens and how fast really it disappeared...
Yeah, I hear ya. I feel the sentiment, honestly. Granted, we've got plenty of biodiversity now as is, but can you even IMAGINE all the little niches that had unique animals we're never going to know about? It's hard to try and wrap your head around.
Pretty amazing, the artistic hand of mother nature. She's made quite a variety that's come before, and enough for us to enjoy today. The trick is to not help extinction along. Losing the little rare species makes this that much duller of a planet.
This should have been the original video for the song. Excellent work mate, tho my only gripe is that you made the scenes from the first ep of monsters so short.
I'll admit the original video is what partly inspired this one, to be honest with ya. And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't trying to 'one-up' it a bit, so thanks. ^_^
And yeah, I'm not entirely pleased with how long the 'Monsters' segment was in this either. To make everything else fit right, it kind of worked out to be fairly short. Would've liked to have the time in the video respective to epoch length in reality, but...ah well.
Anyway, thank ya again for the praise, mate. Much appreciated!
cooooooooooooooooooool i think of anything else to said apart from that and i love the walking with series the frist time i saw the last ep of the dinosaurs one i cryed lol
You did an awesome job man. This is really well made.
Walking with Monsters... never heard of it before Youtube. It's the prequel to Dinosaurs? When insects and crustaceans ruled the Earth? Meh. I prefer the beasts and dinosaurs.
I think you gave too little pictures of the Paleozoic Era (although the Walking With didn't do it either). Besides of that...amazing work. Love the transittion from the Cretaceous to the Cenozoic

Yeah that is so true...

A beautiful tribute to evolution.

Which "Walking with" was the first one. The one with the prehistoric amphibians, lizards, and athropods
gamehero77 3 years ago 2
The first one made was Walking With Dinosaurs, but Walking With Monsters is about the first animals on Earth.

It is quite some jump in time, between dinosaurs, and big teeth leopards.

You did an awesome job man. This is really well made.
Walking with Monsters... never heard of it before Youtube. It's the prequel to Dinosaurs? When insects and crustaceans ruled the Earth? Meh. I prefer the beasts and dinosaurs.
Still, great video.
